27- Arrest

Adelynn's pov:

So it's been about a week and a half since the family dinner and a few days since the funeral, Elias hasn't talked about it but I want to know what dad meant by when he said he saw Elias and Ryle kiss.

"Elias." I say. He turned his head, "Yeah?" He answered. "What did my dad mean when he said he saw you and Ryle kiss?" I state.

"Uh.." He said. He's nervous which means my dad wasn't lying and Elias was. "Well um I think I should tell you now." He sighed. "Tell me what." I spoke coldly.

"Well um about a month ago Ryle came to the bar I work at and asked for me to be his private server for drinks in his VIP room.." He said hesitantly. "That's it?" I asked, he shook his head.

"When he started drinking more and getting more drunk I had to leave since it had been an hour and half after my shift ended and he wouldn't let me leave. He grabbed my waist pulled me in and he got.. hard from it.. So I got mixed feelings about him and I wanted to know how he truly felt about me so I kissed him to know." He said looking down messing with his fingers.

"You kissed him? He didn't kiss you?" I replied back. He just nodded. "I know you probably don't want your best friend interested in your brother but-"

"Wait you're interested in him?" I cut him off. "Yeah a little." He spoke. "I'll invite you to any family dinner I go to next." I said smiling.

"You're not mad?" He looked so confused. "No of course not, I don't care who you're interested in, who you like or who you fuck. As long as you're happy." I replied honestly.

I am happy for him, I really don't care who he likes anymore. If Ryle will make him happy then it's fine.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it." I said. I opened the door to see two police officers.

"Can I help you officers?" I asked. "Are you Adelynn?" They asked. "Yeah? Why?" I replied. "You're under arrest for the murder of Evan Reed." They spoke.

"Wait! What the fuck!" I yelled. "Turn around, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law." They said putting the handcuffs on me.

Elias ran in. "Woah! What's going on?! Addie!" He screamed. "Call Ryle! Say I've been arrested and tell him to get his ass to me!" I yelled to Elias as the two office were dragging me out of the apartment.

Ryle's pov:

"Jason! Have you actually done anything to help me?!" I yelled. "I'm sorry sir it's hard to find someone who probably has a new identity and hasn't been seen for seven fucking years." Jason replied with attitude.

Alec busted through the door out of breath. Deja vu. "Sir it's your sister." He said trying to catch his breath. "Yeah what about her?" I said turning to face him.

"She's been arrested! For murder!" He exclaimed. "Jesus she's known about her family for what? A week and she's already being arrested." I rolled my eyes.

"Jason get the car ready we are going to take a trip to the police station and Alec go with him. I'll be with you in a short minute." I said to both of them.

I grabbed a knife and a gun and put them in my pocket and made my way down to the car. "Drive." I said to Alec.

A few minutes had passed and I looked out the window to see five maybe six cars going in the same direction.

Now a lot of people would see it as normal if the car weren't suspiciously the ones you see in mafia movies.

"Speed up Alec." I spoke. "Jason, move." Jason moved out of the way and rolled the window down. I grabbed the gun from my pocket and aimed it at one of the tires in the back of one of the cars.

I shot at one of the men driving and the car swerved off the side of the road into a ditch. There was a car right beside ours and I smirked at the driver, couldn't see who it was since they had blackout windows but they would of definitely saw me.

Alec ended up speeding up a lot to get to the police station. Within what would usually be a ten minute journey it turned out to be a five minute journey.

When we arrived there was only us and one other car. It looked very expensive I have to say. I walked in with Jason to see Adelynn and. "Haze?! How did you know?" Adelynn screamed in excitement.

This was sickening. "I have eyes and ears everywhere mi amor, whenever you need me I'll be here." He spoke as Adelynn's eyes sparkle.

"Jason go wait in the car for me and Adelynn." I said and he walked out. I cleared my throat to make a point and Haze turned around and Addie looked at me.

"Ryle. You showed up?" She said to me confused. "Yes of course I'm going to show up for my sister. Now let's get going I'll deal with the police." I said glaring at Haze.

"Adelynn you can come back with me if you want. I have a hot tub you can relax in?" Haze spoke while turning to her. I just looked at her.

"Thank you for the offer Haze but I should probably go with Ryle." She smiled at him. "Are you sure? I'm sure he wouldn't mind you spending a few hours with a friend." He spoke innocently.

"Adelynn." I said in a serious tone. "Hm?" She answered. "Why aren't you phased by the fact you have been arrested?" I asked her. "I don't know I guess I knew someone would come for me." She smiled while he looked back at Haze.

"You're not going back with Haze and that's final, get in the car." I spoke coldly. "I want to go with Haze though.. He has a hot tub!" She spoke back.

"Get in the car." I replied. "Oh come on Ryle don't be like that. I mean I don't blame you for wanting her with you especially with what happened after you let your other sister go where she wanted."

That little fucker! "Adelynn! Get in the fucking car now!" I yelled at her. She jumped a little. "Sorry Haze, I'll come visit you another day."

"No you fucking won't! You are not to go near him." I raised my voice at her. "You aren't my dad! Just leave me the hell alone!" She said running out.

"Adelynn!" I yelled but she just ignored me. I chased after her but when I got outside she was gone. Haze came out. "This is your fault. Leave my sister alone Haze or else I'll kill your sister." I threatened him, he just laughed.

"Kill my sister? I'll have your sister wrapped around my finger before you get within a five mile radius of my sister. She'll see through you Ryle. She'll see the monster you are." He said opening his car door and got in.

I walked over to where Alec and Jason were. "Alec take me to my father." I demanded. "Yes sir." He replied back. We got in the car and drove off.

Did she actually kill him? Or is she being framed? Only one way to find out.
