49- Race.

Elias's pov:

It's been a couple weeks and it's my birthday, I'm 18 now and Adelynn said she has something planned for me but I'm not sure what it is. She said I'll love it and she'll officially the best person ever so it sounds like it'll be awesome.

She told me to wear something comfort and something I can like move around in easily so that doesn't help my guesses. I did ask her if Ryle knew and she said no, she said it was just going to be a day with just her.

Speaking of Adelynn she was actually ringing me. "Hey Addie." I said cheerfully. "Hey just to let you know I'm picking you up in an hour and something is being delivered to you between 15 and 20 minutes and it's a little clue to where we are going." She replied to me.

"What is it?" I asked her, yes it's a low chance she'll tell me but she might. "Elias, I'm not that stupid and I'm not telling you, you'll have to wait." She answered me back. "Come on please." I begged her.

"Nope, go get ready I need to as well. See you soon." And as she said that she ended the call. Oh my god the wait is literally killing me, I'm probably going to wear my converse with whatever Addie has gotten me. Then a knock at the door, I rushed to the door and opened it.

"For Elias Heart right?" The person said holding a package. "Yeah, that's me." I spoke taking the package. "Thank you." I added then closed the door, I walked to my room and opened the package.

I unwrapped and a racing jacket? Wait, is Adelynn taking me racing?!! Oh my god if she is I will love her forever. I rung her instantly and she didn't answer me. She definitely knows I would know when it showed up, I absolutely love her.

I tried it on and it suits me so much, it's red black and white and so comfortable. Although for some reason it doesn't like feel new like it hasn't just been brought, I'm probably overthinking it it's a gift and Adelynn isn't that cheap to give me a used gift.

It had been about 15 minutes and I heard a knock at the door, I ran to the door and opened it. "You ready?" It was Adelynn. "Yeah let's go." I stepped outside, closed the door and locked it. She led me to her car and I got in.

"So do you have any idea of where we are going?" She asked me as she was driving. "I have an idea but I'm not sure whether I'm right." I replied to her, I'm literally so happy about this. "Well we have a 20 minute journey until we arrive so get comfortable." She stated.

"I went to visit Ryle the other day." She said after a few minutes of silence. "Hm, cool." I replied, I'm not arsed if she sees him he is her brother but I'm not too thingy about Ryle at the moment. "He misses you. He told me that." She spoke back to me and I turned my head to look at her, she looked at me for a split second before turning her head back.

"He wouldn't have to miss me if he had told me the truth at the start." I explained to her looking out of front window. "Would your reaction been any different though? Elias it'd be the same and I wish you'd tell me why. You've been different recently and I can't understand why. When are you going to tell me?" She questioned me with a slight plea in her tone.

"When I'm ready to talk about it. At the moment I'm not ready because I'm still trying to process it myself." To be honest I don't even know how to process it myself and god knows how I'm going to explain it to Addie, she can't do anything to Evan he's already dead.

"Obviously I respect that but I'm worried you'll shut yourself out again. You've done it before and I really don't want to see you like that again, but telling me when you're ready is better than not telling me at all so I'll wait." She explained to me.

We spoke about other stuff the rest of the drive before arriving. "We're here." She said to me parking up and no fucking way I was right. "Adelynn I love you so much." I said to her deadly serious, she laughed at me and got out of the car.

I followed after her and I got a helmet. "You're not getting one?" I asked her putting it on. "I've rode motorbikes before and I've never crashed plus it's more fun. I also own this racing track so I don't really wear one but you have to wear one."

She's talking like she knows so much about safety and she's the one not wearing the safety shit for this. "Yours is the red one, I've got the purple one because it's mine anyway. If you like it I'll buy you the red one because it's a rental for the minute." She said to me and my jaw dropped.

"So you're telling me not only have you taken me to the place of my dreams but you're going to buy me the motorbike!!" I yelled out in happiness and she laughed. "Come on." I chased after her and I got on the red bike and started the engine and holy shit it was loud as fuck.

I revved it and so did she. "If you beat me to the end I'll get not one but three bikes!" She yelled over at me. "Deal!" I yelled back and drove off, honestly the thrill was wonderful but also terrifying.

I feel like I'm forgetting everything and it's all focussed on this bike and I loved it, it was the best feeling and I wish it would last forever. Although even if I don't beat her she'll get me this bike anyway so I guess it's a win either way.

I saw a half way sign so I guess I've already done half way and Adelynn was slightly in front of me. I turned my head back to where we started and I saw someone in the distance. I sped up so I was in line with her.

"Addie who's that?!" I asked her raising my voice so she could hear me, she turned her head and her eyes widened slightly. "No one don't worry!" She yelled back. "Keep driving!" She added on as we both sped up, we were almost at the end I could see that as much.

There was a distance between the end of the track and start and as we got closer the figure was becoming more clear and I could see who it was. Ryle.

So much for a day where it's just me and Addie, I doubt she told him he probably has people spying on me and that's how he knows. I got to the end after Adelynn and I saw her get off the her motorbike, I parked a few 100 yards behind her and she walked to Ryle.

I saw her obviously getting frustrated and I saw Ryle try to walk towards but Adelynn pushed him back. I got off my bike and took my helmet off and put it on the bike. I walked towards Adelynn and Ryle and Adelynn turned around, she gave me the 'ignore him' look so I did exactly that.

"Elias." Ryle spoke before I got to him, I didn't stop walking I carried on. "Elias." He spoke with slight more plea in his tone. "Elias."

He grabbed my arm as I walked past him, I turned around and in that moment I lost it. I slapped him across the face and his face was full of pure shock.

"Don't touch me." Those three words were the only words I was going to say to him, I pushed his hand off my wrist and continued to walk off. I heard Adelynn and Ryle talking and it faded as I walked further away.

I made my way back to Addie's car and I got in and kind of just sat there. I was shocked in myself that I slapped him but I was proud of myself as well because he may of deserved it. I feel like I'm overreacting slightly like I shouldn't of slapped him, I don't know!

I ended up slamming my head back onto the head rest and stayed there for about 10 minutes before someone opened the door. I out my head up and turned to see Adelynn sitting and she sighed.

"Sorry." I said to her in a quiet voice. "Don't worry about it, he deserved it I told him not to go near you because you were still pissed off and he didn't listen. It's karma I guess." She replied, I'm glad she isn't annoyed that I y'know slapped her brother across the face.

"Yeah I guess but sometimes I feel like I should hear him out more than I did before but he kind of caused it on himself." I pointed out and sighed after. "I know I'm mad at him but I feel like I need to clear some things up with him." I added on and she looked at me confused. "If you want to I'll drop you off tomorrow or whenever so you can clear things up with him." She offered and I nodded.

"Right let's go home." She spoke as she started the engine. "Can we get McDonalds on the way back?" I asked her. "Only because it's your birthday." She replied and I smiled, for the rest of the drive I was eating my food while she was driving so she had to wait for hers which made it even funnier.

Do you think Ryle deserved to be slapped? Should Elias even go to Ryle and explain stuff? What stuff does Elias have to explain. I think Ryle deserved the slap in my opinion.
