Ryle's pov:

It was the night of the event and I haven't spoke or seen Adelynn since the meeting went wrong the other day so I still have no idea whether she's showing up or not.

The event officially starts in half an hour and my outfit was being picked out. "The black one." I wanted to keep it simple but professional, I'm just hoping, if Adelynn comes, she'll do the same.

I grabbed my phone and dialled her number, it rung for a few seconds then someone picked up. "She's busy." Haze. "Give her the phone I need to speak with her." I spoke down the phone. "I said she's busy."

And with that the call ended. Bastard. "Sir you need to be here in 20 minutes." Jason said round the door. "Looks like I'll be turning up early, make sure Elias is ready." I answered him back as I stood up and grabbed my phone.

I walked out of the room and over to Elias's room and knocked on the door. "Who is it!" Elias yelled. "It's me." I spoke back through the door, seconds later he opened the door and pulled me in. "What's wrong?" I asked him holding both his hands, he laughed slightly nervously. "Um." He was bright red and smiling like an idiot.

"Jason walked in when I was changing my shirt." He added on laughing and putting his head on my chest in, most likely, embarrassment. "What did he do." I said to him. "He apologized very quickly and closed the door." He answered back, I raised my brows at what he said.

"I'm not lying." Elias added on rolling his eyes. "I didn't say you were." I replied to him. "Yet your face says I am lying." He looked at my eyes staring at them as I stared back. "No, my face says I want to kiss you but I can't because we have to leave in 10 minutes." I stated.

"And you're afraid if you do kiss me you'll get carried away like last time and we'll be late?" Elias questioned me back. "Well as I like to say, the host is never late everyone else is simply early." And with that statement he grabbed the back of my neck and pushed himself into me and we kissed.

We just carried on for what felt like an eternity was only a few minutes and what disturbed us? A knock on the door which we actually heard this time. I broke the kiss and walked over to the door and opened it. "What." I spoke coldly. "Sorry sir but it's time to leave." It was Alec who spoke.

"Give us a minute, we'll be there soon." I closed the door and walked back over to Elias and cupped his face. "Come on love, we've got to go." I said to him before giving him one last short kiss.

He grabbed my hand and held it as I opened the door and walked out of the room. We walked down the stairs and my hand let go of his and I put it round his waist pulling him closer to me.

"So where is the event?" He asked me as we got to the bottom of the steps. "In the building, just in one of the rooms you may of not seen." I replied to him. We walked for a couple minutes and we saw many people heading in.

I pushed him to one side in a empty room. "You will tell me if anyone tries anything on you." I demanded. "And if I don't?" He replied back with a question. "Just tell me because the people in this room that we are going to walk into, they aren't to be trusted." I replied to him.

"If they aren't to be trusted why are they here?" He answered with another question. I took a deep breath out of frustration. "It's business, I have to invite people whether I like it or not, most of these people are invited by my father anyway. I still have to discuss business with them thought, just promise me you won't cause any trouble and that if anyone tries anything you'll tell me." I asked him to promise me because most of the men in that room are gross and think they have the power to do anything and no I wasn't going to have Elias taken by them.
