Adelynn's pov:

Oh my god my head is killing me. It's the next morning and I'm in my dads house with Haze laying next to me while I complain about my hang over knowing full well he has one too.

Ryle and Elias stayed here as well they are in Ryle's room, me and Haze are in the room that's for me whenever I stay over and Nina is in the room next door to me and I think I can hear her complain through the walls.

"Haze will you get me some advil?" I ask him looking up at him as well. "Where is it?" He replied back questioning me. "I think Ryle might have some. Get me, you and Nina some and just say they are all for me." I replied, he kissed me on the forehead then got up and left the room.

He came back a few minutes later with it and I took it. "Right, I'm going downstairs to grab water, do you want anything?" I got up and Haze sat down. "Water." He replied, I walked out of the room and down the stairs.

I made my way to the kitchen and didn't see anyone, no one must be up yet. I'm surprised I was up to be fair but oh well, I got the water and walked back past my dad's office to hear my dad talking and a woman yelling.

I put the water down on the side just by the door and put my ear next to the door. "How could you?! It was your idea and yet you do it!" I heard the woman yell, this sounds heated. I ended up knocking on the door after not hearing my father reply to her, after knocking a few times and no one answering I just opened the door and saw something I never would of imagined.

"Mum?" That woman was my mother? "Adelynn leave." My dad said to me and she turned around to look at me. "Addie." She walked towards me slightly and I just kept looking her up and down.

I walked in the room but not to her to the other side of the room where my dad was, well more in the middle. "I thought you were dead.." I spoke to her. "Your father made you think that didn't he?" She raised her voice, she was about to run at him before I stood in front of her quickly.

"No, you did." I answered her, I turned around to my dad. "Did you know?" I asked him, "and please be honest." I added on before he had the chance to answer.

"I had no idea, I got told there was someone here for you so I said to let them in and she came in and slammed the door open and started screaming at me." He explained and he took my hand and pulled me back so I was standing next to him.

"The whole reason for her to stay with me, for her to grow up with her mother not you was that she didn't have to be involved in this! Now I find out you are making her known as a Rivera?! And had a birthday event for her? Lucien are you insane!" She just continued screaming, why is she acting like she cares she could of found me herself she could of told me she wasn't dead..

"Mother please stop screaming." I said. "This isn't dads fault, I was convinced you were dead. Aunt wouldn't tell me anything about you, where you had gone, how long you'd be gone, whether you were even alive. If you want to blame someone, blame her." I added on.

"You know now that she knows she's finally get the Rivera gene you never wanted her to have, she'll become a murder like you!" She screamed at my dad, for some reason my dad pulled my closer and kind of like hugged me.

"I've already killed someone.." I spoke, I've never said it out loud and now that I have I feel ashamed.

"My daughter is not a murderer!" She shouted again, I wanted her to be right but I knew she wasn't. "I watched the life drain out of his eyes mother." I stated once more, she just looked at me and her expression was a mix between horror, disappointment and disbelief.

Suddenly the door opened and Ryle walked through the door. "What's going on here." Ryle spoke and my mother turned around to look at him. "Ryle, look at you. You've grown so much." The way she's more excited to see Ryle than her own daughter. She was about to hug Ryle before my father spoke, "don't touch my son. Ryle come here now."
