chapter 203 "Propose"

PAWIS NA PAWIS si Ashi habang nasa operating room ng Ibañez hospital. She was having a third operation for that day. She is a cardiologist and it was her duty to operate those who are undergo with heart operation. It was almost one hour since she entered the operating room to operate the patient who has been shoot directly to the heart. The family of the patient were so nervous and worried while waiting to finish the operation. Untill the door opened and Ashi step out of the emergency room sweating and her hands were full of blood.

"Doc? How's my son?" The mother of the patient asked worriedly.

"Does the operation had done successfully?" The father asked.

Hinubad ni Ashi ang suot nitong gloves bago pinunasan ang sariling pawis. Her eyes were blank as usual everytime she's having a big operation.

"The patient is too weak and there's a lot of blood lost in his body. We're having a hard time to go with the operation but we did our best to save him and..." pabiting sabi ni Ashi habang napapahinga nang malalim.

Nagkatinginan ang pamilya ng pasyente habang hindi mapakali. Bakas ang matinding kaba sa mukha nila at hinihintay ang sagot ng doctor.

Lumabas sa operating room ang assistant secretary ni Ashi at nagbuga nang malakas na hangin na animo'y parang nabunutan ng tinik ang lalamunan nito.

"The operation were successful but the patient was under comatose right now." Kalmadong sabi ni Ashi at ang assistant na niya ang nagpaliwanag sa iba pa.

Nauna siyang umalis at pumasok sa elevator. Napahawak pa siya sa tuktok ng ilong niya habang nakapikit.

She felt very tired as well as hungry. It was already passed 12: 30 pm and she didn't yet eating her lunch. Nang makalabas ng elevator ay pumasok siya sa office niya. As she closed the door and walks towards her table, someone locked her door.

She didn't felt alarm and throw the gloves on the trashcan. She sat down to her swivel chair while closing her eyes. A fair of footsteps came closer to her and there. Someone hugs her to comfort her tiredness.

"Let me give you some energy, love." Drix's whispered.

Nagmulat ng mata si Ashi at nakangiting tumingin sa binata. His handsome face welcomed her eyes.

"I miss you." Nakangiting sabi niya at yumakap na rin sa binata.

"I know and I miss you, too." Drix's replied.

Hinalikan pa siya nito sa pisngi bago lumayo sa kaniya. Napatingin siya sa paperbag na nasa ibabaw ng mesa niya.

"Ano 'yan?" Tanong niya rito.

"Our lunch. Kanina pa kita hinihintay rito. Gusto na nga kitang puntahan sa operating room para subuan na lang kita roon habang nag-o-operate ka." Nakangiting sabi ni Drix sabay kindat sa kaniya.

Napapailing na lang si Ashi bago naghubad ng white medical dress niya. Sumandal si Drix sa table niya paharap sa kaniya. Pinagmamasdan lang siya ng binata hanggang sa matapos siya sa ginagawa.

Agad na inilabas ng binata ang laman ng paper bag at inilapag sa harap niya. Kumalam lalo ang tiyan niya ng maamoy ang mabangong amoy ng ulam.

It was her favorite dish.

"I cooked your favorite dish, Love. It was full of love and passion, I hope you'll like it." Masayang sabi ng binata.

Napangiti siya habang nakatingin sa mga mata nito. There's a love and passion inside his beautiful eyes. It made her melt slowly.
