Chapter 8 Reunion, Duels and Plans

In both worlds, Yuni and Bruno pressed the activation button of the Dimension Transport Device. A low hum filled the air as the machine began to glow, its metallic rings spinning faster until the doorway before them burst into radiant white light.

Yuni smiled at the sight and turned toward Yuya and Reisho. "It worked."

"Now that's done..." Reisho said, holding the communicator close to his ear. "Can anyone hear me from here?"

Back in the Fusion Dimension, the same doorway shimmered with energy. Yuzu, Ryu, Bruno, Ruka, Rua, Asuka, Johan, Mark, Hana, and the two teachers—Sarah and Yusho—stood gathered in front of it, shielding their eyes from the brightness.

Then, through the static of the dimensional link, a voice echoed faintly.

"Reisho! Is that you?" Yuzu called.

Yuni's eyes widened. "It's Yuzu."

Yuya stepped forward immediately. "Yuzu, can you hear me?"

"Yuya! I heard you, loud and clear!" Yuzu's joyful voice echoed from the other side.

Yuya smiled in relief. "Good. Now you can cross safely."

Yuzu held her mother's hand tightly. "Now we can cross the dimensions to Heartland... We're finally going to meet Yuya and the others again."

Sarah smiled softly. "Yeah..."

When the light faded, those who had crossed over appeared on the platform of the Different Dimension Ship, the sky of Heartland stretching bright above them.

Yuya and Yuni's eyes filled with tears as they spotted their father. Without a word, they ran toward him.

"Dad!"

Yusho barely had time to brace himself before the two wrapped their arms around him.

"Dad... we finally met again," Yuya said, his voice trembling.

"We missed you... Mom missed you too... everyone did..." Yuni whispered, her hands clutching tightly at his coat.

Yusho smiled warmly and rested his hands on their shoulders. "I missed you both so much... I'm proud of you. I'm glad we can finally see each other again."

Not far away, Reisho stood frozen in place. His eyes were locked on the woman standing near Yuzu—the face he had thought he'd never see again.

"Mom..." he whispered.

Sarah turned in surprise, tears already welling in her eyes. Reisho took a hesitant step forward, then another, before pulling her into a tight embrace.

"How could you...?" His voice cracked as the tears broke through. "I thought you weren't revived all this time. You were always near me, but you avoided me..."

Sarah's hands trembled before she hugged him back just as tightly. "I'm sorry, Reisho... I was afraid—afraid of what would happen if you learned the truth."

Reisho looked up at her, his voice hoarse. "About the divorce? I saw the papers..."

Yuzu stepped closer, her voice soft but firm. "Reisho, Mom didn't write those papers. Professor is the one that did this."

"What do you mean?" Reisho asked.

As Reisho continued speaking with his mother and sister, Yusho turned to the others with a warm smile. "By the way, I haven't introduced everyone yet. These two helped us build the Fusion branch of You Show Duel School—Asuka Tenjoin and Johan Andersen."

Yuya and Yuni blinked in surprise. "Wait—Asuka Tenjoin? Johan Andersen?"

The two stepped forward with friendly smiles.
