Chapter 46 Defeating the Fake

"What do you think you're doing to my sister?!" Yuya shouted, his voice echoing through the Resistance camp.

All around, dozens of Resistance members froze mid-motion. In front of them, Yuni struggled against ropes binding her arms and torso, her mouth covered so tightly she could barely breathe.

"She's a traitor!" one of the men yelled back. "She carded a lot of us!"

Yuya's eyes widened in disbelief. "What!?"

It had only been hours since morning, when Yuya, Yuni, and Reisho were inside the Different Dimension Spaceship, working tirelessly to repair Sergey. After finally taking a break and stepping outside, they'd found this — chaos, anger, and fear, centered on Yuni herself.

Reisho quickly stepped between them, his voice sharp but controlled. "She was with us the whole time! You think she'd be trying to card you like Academia?"

The crowd murmured uncertainly. Some members turned their faces away, unwilling to meet his gaze.

Yuya clenched his fists. "You can't be serious... You don't actually believe Yuni would do something like that!"

Yuzu hesitated, biting her lip. "Of course not... but it's just..."

A familiar voice cut in from the back. Aki stepped forward, arms crossed and eyes grim. "We saw the duel, Yuya. The attacker had Hope-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. Only Yuni can summon that monster."

Yuni tried to protest, muffled words escaping beneath the gag, but the ropes held firm. Her eyes burned with frustration as she shook her head violently.

Just then, the tent flaps flew open. Vivian and Katrina rushed in, panting from the run.

"The attack happened again!" Vivian shouted—then froze when she saw Yuni bound on the ground. "Wait—Sister's here?"

"Vivian! Katrina!" Yuya turned toward them desperately. "Tell everyone! Tell them my sister isn't the one attacking the Resistance! She's been with us all day!"

Katrina glanced at Vivian, both exchanging a look that made the air tighten. "Of course, we can confirm that," Katrina said carefully.

Everyone's heads turned toward them. The resistance members' confusion deepened as Katrina continued, "We just came to report—the one attacking right now looks exactly like Sister Yuni. But since she's here... that means she's been duplicated somehow."

The words hung heavy in the air.

Allen frowned. "You're saying... the one attacking us isn't the real Yuni?"

Reisho's eyes narrowed. "It must be. But who could create something like that?"

Vivian's voice trembled slightly. "We don't know. But she's targeting Dr. Byron—they've already started dueling!"

Yuzu gasped. "Byron!? We have to stop it before someone gets hurt!"

Yuya turned sharply. "Everyone, move! Let's go!"

The camp erupted into motion. Resistance members dropped their weapons and ran toward the dueling field. Vivian and Katrina quickly crouched beside Yuni, cutting through the ropes with their knives.

As the bindings fell away, Yuni pulled the gag from her mouth, exhaling sharply. "Thanks..." she said, her voice shaky but sincere. "I'm glad this was just a misunderstanding..."

Katrina smiled faintly. "We knew you weren't the kind to stand by and let others get hurt, Sister."

Yuya extended his hand to help her up. "Come on. If there's a fake Yuni out there, we're going to find her—and stop her before she ruins everything we've built."
