In the Fusion Branch of You Show Duel School, the air buzzed with excitement as students practiced Action Duels under the shimmering dome of the arena. Sona stood beside Yuri, watching the holograms dance across the field.
"So, who are the ones dueling right now?" Yuri asked, folding his arms casually.
"A boy named Cain and another named Abel," Sona replied with a smile. "Thanks to Yuni and Yuya, Action Duels are now part of our lessons here."
"Indeed," Yuri said, watching the duelists leap across the Action Field. "Action Cards are invaluable when we face real threats."
But then, the arena's light suddenly dimmed. Chains materialized out of nowhere, wrapping tightly around the two students' monsters—and then around the duelists themselves. A chilling red glow illuminated the field as two towering figures appeared, their eyes burning with malice. On one's chest gleamed the number 13, and on the other, 31.
"What's going on here?" Sona exclaimed, stepping back as the other students gasped in horror.
Yuri's eyes narrowed. "Are those the Numbers Yuni and Yuya warned us about?"
"There's no mistaking it," Sona said, her voice trembling. "Those are Numbers 13 and 31! We have to call Yuni, fast!"
Yuri quickly activated his Duel Disk communicator to contact the others. Meanwhile, Sona noticed dark sigils glowing on Cain and Abel's cheeks, their Life Points flickering dangerously. (Cain:1000)(Abel:1000)
"Somebody... help us..." Cain muttered weakly, while Abel groaned in pain. "What... is this thing...?"
Moments later, a flash of light burst through the entrance as Yuni, Yuya, and their group arrived. Yuni froze in shock. "Numbers 13: Cain's Devil and Number 31: Abel's Devil!? Oh no..."
"What's wrong?" Sona asked, panicked.
Yuya answered grimly, "When these cards are inside a duelist's deck and their Life Points drop by half, they activate automatically—destroying every monster on the field and summoning themselves! Both duelists are forced down to 1000 Life Points!"
As he spoke, the two devils raised their massive spiked maces and clashed. Their chains rattled violently, sending shockwaves through the room. Cain and Abel screamed as their Life Points dropped again. (Cain:1000-500)(Abel:1000-500)
Yuni's eyes widened. "When Cain's Devil and Abel's Devil battle, neither is destroyed! Instead, both players take damage equal to their ATK—500 points each! They're the Embodiments of Crime and Punishment—turning every point of damage into excruciating pain!"
"That means if this keeps up, they'll both die before the next turn!" Sona cried. "How do we stop it!?"
Before anyone could answer, a bright glow burst from Sona's Duel Disk. She pulled out a newly-formed card from her Extra Deck and gasped. "This light... It's a Number! Maybe I can save them!"
"While you buy us time, I'll shut down the Action Field system!" Reisho said, rushing to the control terminal.
Sona nodded, stepping onto the arena as her Duel Disk activated. The system blared, Intrusion Penalty detected! A surge of energy struck her body. (Sona:4000-2000)
Gritting her teeth, she drew a card. "I Summon Cooking Chief Cola Maker! (ATK:500/DEF:1000/Level 1)" A tiny chef robot popped onto the field, holding a bubbling soda bottle. "And when Cola Maker is on the field, I can Special Summon Cooking Chief Soda Shaker! (ATK:1000/DEF:0/Level 1)"
