The celebration was simmering down as I lounged near a hand railing overlooking Olympus. Annabeth was briefly away to freshen herself up. We will soon leave again for Camp Half-Blood. Thalia informed me about what happened to Luke when I was holding up the sky. Apparently, he fell from the mountain. It is a steep fall, but it did not kill him. I don't see him dying from the fall. Thalia also did not believe he would be dead and will stay watchful as she assumed her role as lieutenant of the Hunters.
I sigh deeply as I watch the golden glimmer and magical sparkles that make Olympus special. I wonder what I will do once I am part of this realm. My answer was true. I will not fight against Olympus. Why would I? But I am not sure if I want to be part of this culture where suspicions seem to run high. Still, I would not want to destroy it either.
"Lady Aileen, how are you?" Artemis asks me as she joins me overlooking Olympus. I smile softly as I turn my gaze to her. She is once again a girl with auburn hair while being of human size.
"Good, thank you for asking. I assume you're going on the hunt soon with the Hunters?"
"I am, Thalia already is doing well as a leader. An aspect she inherited from Lord Zeus probably. When we first met, I wasn't too thrilled about you. Too noisy and always challenging the established order. I changed my mind about you. I still think you are too noisy, but you want what is best. I can respect that. And thank you for helping Zoe. Her leaving my service will be difficult, but I want what is best for her. This will be good for Zoe."
"My pleasure, Lady Artemis. What will become of Zoe? I don't think she is a Half-Blood. She will be welcomed in the camp, of course, but she won't be like most there will she?"
Artemis shakes her head as she takes a breath. "No, she is a Daimon. A spirit between the power of a Demigod and Gods. Similar to the Fury Sisters you have met before. Her powers are probably very similar to one of a child of the Big Three. I think she will want to help Perseus. The boy that has won her over," Artemis says as she smiles with a chuckle.
"I don't think their relationship will be... smooth sailing. Zoe has a lot of personalities, but judging from how Aphrodite has been acting I can surmise it will end well enough for them both. You should know, we have discussed your ascension to Godhood in a council meeting," she continues to say.
It does not surprise me. I am a rather special case. Athena also said that she thinks I wield a lot of power due to Nyx and Hades being my divine parents. Of course, the council would find it necessary to discuss my position among them.
"What did they say? I think my destruction was at least considered," I say. Artemis nods in amusement as she thinks of the meeting that was not held so long ago. I even highlighted that they favor that option very much.
"Ares was quite fond of the option. In the end, it did not pass the vote. Many on the council did not support it. Demeter, Athena, Aphrodite, Apollo, Dionysus, Poseidon, and I were not against your ascension. They weren't overjoyed either, but we voted to let you become one of us. We will see what it will mean at the end of this war. Know that you will have my support, Lady Aileen. I have only seen good things coming from you. Lady Athena also holds you in a positive light, even if she is not showing it. She is rather stern and has not made up her mind if your relationship with Annabeth is a good or bad thing."
"I see. I am glad to hear it, Lady Artemis. Lady Athena will come around. I mean we will be seeing each other for many, many years. We have to get along in some way, right? But I only care for a few people and they already hold me in high regard, I can survive an eternity knowing that," I say and notice Annabeth coming our way again. Artemis sees her coming our way as well.
"We will see. Make sure Zoe stays happy and safe. I spend over two thousand years with her. She is like a daughter to me. Can you promise me, Lady Aileen?"
