     (Y/n) was squished between (f/n) and the blue hedgehog. She wasn't sure of his name. Maybe he was the oh-so-legendary Sonic the Hedgehog but this guy didn't seem to be the allegedly charming and handsome hero of the world (b/f/n) had talked so much about on the train.

     He kept glancing at (y/n). A look the (y/n) had received many times before. Every man she had met had looked at her the same way, except Shadow.

     That confused (y/n). But she was glad there was at least someone who didn't focus on her beauty.

     The elevator opened and they all ran out of the elevator, Shadow and (y/n) went to their motorcycles.

     Shadow drove off without warning but (y/n) easily caught up, the blue hedgehog running behind them, the silver one flying with some sort of psychokinesis powers, and (f/n) flying with (b/f/n) in his arms.

     "Can you hear me?" Rouge said through the earpiece.

     "Yes, loud and clear." (F/n) replied.

     "Alright, you guys are approaching the base. Try and stay unnoticed." Rouge said.

     "Got it," Shadow said.

     They parked their motorcycles near the forest. The others stopped. The blue hedgehog stopped running and began striding into the forest with no fear.

     (Y/n) rushed in front of him stopping him. "Slow down, it'll be better if we sneak in." (Y/n) told him.

     The blue hedgehog tipped his head to the side. "Are you sure that'll work?" He questioned skeptically.

     "Sonic, Rouge said it would be better to stay unnoticed. A simple in and out mission." Shadow snapped at the blue hedgehog.

     Sonic rolled his eyes. "Fine, lead the way (y/n)," Sonic said, gesturing towards the forest.

     (Y/n) nodded, turning and going into the forest. Everyone followed close behind. Shadow was watching her especially closely, (y/n) knew that he hadn't seen her skills yet so he probably wanted to see how well she would do.

     As they continued through the forest (y/n) was finding it eerily familiar. The dark shadows of the trees chasing her through the forest 6 years ago came to her mind. She quickly shook it off and kept going, knowing Shadow's gaze on her had grown more intense.

(Y/n)'s demeanour changed, she was more nervous, and she glanced at every tree. Shadow glanced at everyone else, Sonic and Silver were chatting about their girlfriends, Amy and Blaze, while the other two, (b/f/n) and (f/n) Shadow guessed, were talking about the chaos emeralds.

     Shadow looked back at (y/n) the nervousness Shadow had seen moments before was gone.

     She approached a break in the trees and knelt, everyone followed suit to her. Before them was Eggman's base.

    Sonic tried to rush forward but Shadow grabbed his foot tripping him. "What was that for?" Sonic snapped at him.

     "Stay unnoticed. Remember? Or have you lost even more of your brain?" Shadow snapped back.

     Sonic got up grumbling. "Eggman's base has almost no blind spots, how are you guys planning on getting in?" Rouge asked over the earpiece.

     (Y/n) glanced at Sonic. "A distraction." (Y/n) replied.
