(S/n) answered the door to see (y/n). "Glad you came quickly, (y/n). We gotta figure this out before we get into another infamous fight."
"To be fair, you caused most of those fights." (Y/n) stated as (s/n) stepped aside letting her inside.
"And (B/n) causing the other 75% of fights," (s/n) said matter-of-factly.
(Y/n) looked at (s/n) with something close to amusement in her eyes. "Then me with the 1%"
(S/n) laughed lightly, then beckoned (y/n) towards her home office.
"What's the point of going on your computer if mom and dad have no records?" (Y/n) asked.
"We look at newspapers." (S/n) explained. "Any newspapers that mention (d/n) and (m/n) the (a/t)."
(Y/n) looked at (s/n) like she was stupid. "They have no records. No article will mention them!" Then a look of realization came to her face.
"Unless their names aren't spelt correctly." (S/n) said before (y/n) could voice her realization of it.
"But-" (y/n) stuttered slightly, "but you realize (d/n) and (m/n) are quite easy to spell." (I only hope your parents' names are easy to spell)(S/n) laughed. "Even still, there must be some idiot who could spell their names wrong."
(Y/n) scoffed, "True enough, but we cannot be sure that that idiot wrote an article specifically about our parents."
As they got to (s/n)'s home office (s/n) turned to (y/n). "Well you work with a shifty company, I'm sure you know how to hack stuff."
(Y/n) shook her head. "I've never bothered learning, I'm better at the fighting and mechanics." Then (y/n) paused for a moment to think. "But I know someone who did."
(s/n) narrowed her eyes. "Are you sure we can trust them?" she asked. "What if they ask questions?"
"He will," (y/n) said, "but he'll know not to push it, he's our best chance."
Shadow
"I've talked to you enough this week, why do you insist on talking to me?" Shadow growled.
The (f/a/t) pacing in front of Shadow stopped and gave him a suspicious look. "Sometimes I genuinely wonder if you're the smartest guy I know or the dumbest."
Shadow glared at (f/n). "Excuse me? What gives you that idea?"
(f/n) turned away and sat on his couch, then gestured for Shadow to sit down which he did. "I got you here to ask you something."
Shadow stared at (f/n) expectantly for several seconds but he didn't continue. "Well? Doesn't have to be dramatic, idiot."
(F/n) sighed exasperatedly. "Shadow what do you think of (y/n)?"
Shadow raised his eyebrows as (f/n). Was he serious? Nagging Shadow to come over endlessly to answer such a ridiculous question?
"She is a trusted ally," Shadow replied simply, his voice lower than usual.
(F/n) narrowed his eyes. "Is that all, Shadow? Everything you think of her?"
Shadow nodded hesitantly, he didn't mean to sound hesitant, but he did and couldn't go back on it. (F/n) raised his eyebrows at Shadow, and continued waiting for Shadow to say something.
