The bus hit a large bump and a few mobians bounced out of their seats.

A certain mobian gritted her teeth and turned to her companion. "You never told me where we were going, Nero."

The tall cheetah —named Nero— scoffed at his friend. "Come on (y/n)," he soothed, "the mystery is part of the adventure!"

(Y/n) rolled her eyes as Nero laughed at her. "You know I'm not much for a mystery," she growled, "just tell me."

Nero simply smiled at the (a/t) and turned away from her. (Y/n) muttered curses under her breath and turned to the window.

It was early morning and the sun had barely risen into the sky. The bus had been driving all night and Nero had been chatting with (y/n) the whole night, never letting her sleep. Which leads to (y/n) being more than a little grumpy.

They sat in the bus in silence until Nero poked (y/n)'s arm, to which she snapped around and glared at him. "What is it?"

Nero smiled teasingly at her. "We're here Ms. Grumpy (a/t)."

(Y/n) rolled her eyes at Nero and stood up. "Only because you kept me up all night," she growled, "now where are we?"

(Y/n) stood up and followed Nero out of the bus. "You'll see, I wanna introduce you to a new friend of mine."

"How lovely," the (a/t) snarled irritably, "what're they like?"

Nero leads them down a busy street and towards a little coffee shop. "You two will get along just fine," he reassured, "you've hung out with mobians like him before."

"Doesn't mean I'll get along with him specifically," (y/n) argued as they entered the coffee shop and Nero chose a table to sit at, "not everyone's the same you know."

"(Y/n), I promise, this guy is a good one," Nero said gently, "you've got nothing to worry about!"

"Nero, I'm not looking for a fucking relationship if that's what you're trying to do." (Y/n) growled, her eyes narrowed.

"Oh no, no he won't be interested in you, (y/n)," Nero assured.

She raised a brow. "Taken, or gay?"

"Ask him yourself," Nero said, referring behind the (a/t), "(y/n), this is Tase."

(Y/n) turned around to see a tall, blue-grey coyote with purple eyes standing near their table, a kind smirk on his face.

"Gay," (y/n) decided, "definitely gay."

Shadow

"So this is where the last of the cure is located?" Shadow questioned, staring at the entrance.

"Yup, are you ready to go inside?" Chime asked, a small tilt to the blue-grey coyote's head.

Shadow nodded with a sigh. "Let's get this over with."

Chime smirked at him slightly and knocked on the door.

They waited a long time at the door, Chime's foot tapping impatiently. "Why is this taking-"

Chime cut off as the door slowly creaked open. Revealing a tall egg-shaped human.

"Shadow? What do you want? And who's this coyote!" Eggman exclaimed dramatically.
