493 years. That is how long Chime had lived in her miserable life. Thank god for her personality. If she didn't think the way she did, she would've given up at least four centuries ago.

Chime had never fallen in love after her first. She had also never had children, in fear that her dear child would be cursed as she had been.

"You must understand that I cannot do that!" A male voice protested. Who was this guy? I've never heard this voice before.

Chime struggled to open her eyes and saw a green echidna arguing with the pretty (f/c) (a/t) from before.

     This hedgehog is very lucky to get a beauty like her.

Chime already felt her wounds closing up. The bloody chin the black hedgehog had given her. The bloody face the (a/t) had given her, the concussion the (a/t) had given her, and the gunshot wound the (a/t) had given her. They were already healing.

Thank god. Chime's mind muttered. Every time she was hurt, the pain was unbearable, the wounds healing was even more painful, but once they were healed, she felt healthy as ever.

"Um, (y/n)?" Chime heard another voice, Chime looked towards the sound of the voice and saw the (s/f/c) (a/t), "She's waking up."

The echidna and the (f/c) (a/t) stopped arguing and looked at Chime. Chime also notices the black hedgehog in the corner, also staring at Chime.

Chime tried to sit up but was quickly apprehended by cuffs on her wrists and legs, preventing her from getting off whatever she was lying on.

Chime chuckled, which hurt the healing wound in her chest so she quickly stopped. "Good thinkin'. If I could get up I'd kill you with my bare hands (a/t)."

The (f/c) (a/t) studied Chime with calculating (e/c) eyes. "Would you like to die, Chime?"

The green echidna smacked the (f/c) (a/t)'s arm in anger. "(Y/n) the (a/t)! You cannot simply ask someone that!"

Chime laughed, again hurting her gunshot wound. "I would love nothin' more than to die," she told the (a/t) and echidna, "but that is impossible for me to do. So I inflict what I want onto others."

The (f/c) (a/t) nodded at Chime, almost agreeably. "I guess I could understand that." The (a/t) said thoughtfully, "But doesn't mean you should just kill anyone."

Chime breaks into laughter again, disregarding the pain in her chest. "You think I care who I hurt? I have lived almost 500 years!" She cackled, "I have been through more pain than you can imagine (a/t)! You think your life has sucked? Try livin' mine, you wouldn't last as long as I have."

The (f/c) (a/t) barely reacted to Chime, instead still studying her. "You're probably right, I wouldn't have lasted this long." The (a/t) finally said, "Anyway, I think my father, (d/n), may have found a cure for your... predicament."

"I will have nothing to do with this." The green echidna said he turned around to leave when the (s/f/c) (a/t) stood in front of the door, blocking the way, "Please move." The green echidna said politely, but the (s/f/c) (a/t) didn't move.

Chime smiled at the (f/c) (a/t). "What's all your names, sweetheart?" She asked.

"I am (y/n) the (a/t), my sister is (s/n), the echidna is Puny, and Shadow the Hedgehog." The (f/c) (a/t) introduced all the mobians in the room rather quickly. I like her more than I thought I would. Might have to steal 'er heart myself.

     "Well, (y/n) the (a/t). I personally do not believe this is gonna work," Chime snarled bluntly, "I've been given many cures over the years, nothin' has worked. But I guess I'll try it out."

Puny rolled his eyes. "Great, we are actually doing this." He grumbled, walking back over to (y/n)'s side, "Who is getting the stuff on this list? Because I will not."

"I will!" Chime volunteered, "I've got all the time in the world and I will not die."

"I don't think that's a good idea," Shadow said, "Chime has said she wants to kill you two, what if she tries to once we release her?"

Chime laughed again. "You know, your boyfriend makes a fair point (y/n), but I assure you I am a woman of my word."

(S/n) looked up from the ground to look between Shadow and (y/n). "Wait, you two are-"

"No. We are not dating." (Y/n) said quickly, "Everybody says that, but we are not."

Shadow nodded, immediately agreeing with the pretty (a/t). But Chime could see both their muzzles were tinted red. They're both hidin' something... Chime observed.

"Sorry," Chime said untruthfully, "but I will not betray you, life is too short for that, even if you are immortal."

(Y/n) sighed and turned to Puny and (s/n). "What do you two think?"

Puny and (s/n) exchanged a glance. "I don't see any other choice," (s/n) said, "Puny has to work the medical wing of G.U.N and the rest of us have to protect you from the leader guy. Chime is our only option."

Puny nodded. "I agree," he said simply, "though who are you protecting (y/n) from?"

(Y/n) sighed and waved off Puny. "It's a long story, ask (f/n)," she said before turning back to Chime, "I guess we have to trust you."

Shadow grumbled something as (y/n) began loosening the bounds around Chime.

Once (y/n) was done she backed up and stood next to Shadow as Chime sat up and stretched her arms. "I've gotta admit (n/n), you gave me quite the beatin'."

"(Y/n)," (y/n) corrected immediately, "Only call me (y/n)."

Chime tipped her head sideways at the (a/t) but kept her mouth shut. "Alright then, give me the list and I'll be on my way."

"No way I'll let you do that," Puny said quickly, "lay down and let your body heal! Then you can go searching."

Chime sighed. "Fine, fine. I'll do it your way." Puny smiled at Chime's agreement and seemed to relax a bit more.

"Then we'll leave you to it then," (s/n) said, turning to leave the room. Shadow and (y/n) quickly followed, Shadow holding the door open for (y/n).

Chime smirked at the two and laid back with a sigh. "Young love is the best entertainment, don't you agree?"

Puny smiled. "I highly doubt those two will ever get together." He replied, "Shadow's too... disconnected, and (y/n) is very distrusting."

Chime sighed as she watched Puny organize his things. "Only time will tell."
