(A/t): Animal Type(F/n) had known (y/n) for about 6 years. 6 years is a long time. They had dated for a brief time back then, but decided it was best to stay in a sort of brother-sister relationship.
While (f/n) had known (b/f/n) for 2 years they had hit it off immediately. They got along and had subtle hints of flirting with each other until (y/n) had piped up and told them, "Get a room." And they had indeed got a room. They moved in with each other and fell deeply in love.
(f/n) and (b/f/n) had lots of discussions about kids and such, and the two had agreed they were ready. But they had been trying for months, and nothing had happened. It started to pull the two apart and bicker a lot more, getting close to fighting.
(f/n) just wanted the best for (b/f/n), and so did she. But both were too dense to realize they were only protecting one another. This caused even more frequent fights. They let it seem like everything was fine and they were more in love than ever. But it was a lie, all a lie.
The only thing really holding them together was (y/n), they both cared a lot about (y/n)'s well-being and if they had to fight and lie behind her back to do it. They would.
They both think (y/n) is too mixed up in her problems to notice, but they're wrong. (Y/n) watches and listens to them fight more and more. She doesn't know what to do or if it's even worth getting involved in it. She also wants the best for them but she hasn't had a good relationship before so she doesn't know how to help or fix these problems.
(B/f/n)
(B/f/n) was working a stealth mission with (f/n) and they had just gotten inside of the party. They had to take a necklace made out of an unknown material. They were also dressed very nicely, (f/n) wore a red suit and (b/f/n) wore a long black dress with a slit in the leg.
"You okay?" (F/n) asked through the headset. They had to split up to find the safe.
"I'm fine! Take care of yourself." (B/f/n) snapped back, she had been a bit angry lately because of their failed attempts at getting pregnant.
(F/n) had gone silent. (B/f/n) made her way through the fancy-folk, despising every odd or disgusted look she got. Yes, she wasn't wearing dresses as fancy as theirs, but who cared?
Her eyes landed on the host, a tall gray owl with black on his wings, tail and head dark brown, practically black, and piercing blue eyes. He was quite handsome, but she could tell from the look in his eyes he was trouble.
He stood tall and glared at those he felt were lower than him. Making (b/f/n) feel like he was lower than them all.
(B/f/n) turned on her headset to inform (f/n). "I found the host, he isn't with anyone. Should I proceed?"
"Yeah, do that, while he's distracted I could sneak away and find the safe." (F/n) agreed, "Good luck."
(B/f/n) didn't reply and walked up to the owl. "What's a handsome guy like you doing all alone?" She flirted.
The tall owl looked down at her without turning his head. He was gigantic, he was almost over a head taller than her.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing flirting with strangers?" He replied, his voice filled with venom at "pretty".
(B/f/n) giggled. It wasn't a real giggle, but she was good at faking. "I don't know, I thought if you were lonely why don't we both not be lonely?" (B/f/n) got closer to him, almost touching him.
(F/n)
(F/n) lurked around in the shadows, tugging on each door he found. Every door had a bunch of fancy people playing games, talking, drinking, gambling, anything you'd find at a criminal's party.
He began to near where the host and (b/f/n) were. He saw that (b/f/n) was very close to him and the owl seemed to be loosening up.
(F/n) felt a hint of jealousy, (b/f/n) was his girlfriend and only his. Maybe he was a bit overprotective, but sometimes it's a good thing to be that way.
He continued along the wall until he came to a locked door. He waited until he was sure nobody was looking at him then began to pick the lock of the door.
He struggled slightly but managed to unlock it and slipped inside, closing the door behind him.
He looked around the room, it had nothing inside but a safe at the other end.
(F/n) sighed. Things always had to be harder than they needed to be.
(F/n) flew up and looked down at the room. He dove down then flew straight back up and quickly maneuvered his way through the room.
He made his way through the room before finally reaching the end, somehow without getting caught. He began observing the lock to try and figure out how to unlock it.
He tried a code and got it first try. He quietly congratulated himself and looked inside the safe, looking for a very specific item.
(B/f/n)
(B/f/n) and the owl had been talking for a while, she had found out his name was Hasheem. He was quite the flirty guy and very likeable.
He had begun to become distracted from the conversation as he looked through the glass roof at the full moon now and again.
(B/f/n) excused herself, getting bored of him, but he didn't seem to notice her walking away.
She was just about to contact (f/n) but he appeared in front of her, seemingly out of nowhere.
"Do you have it?" (b/f/n) asked demandingly, she was ready to go back.
"Yup," (f/n) said while nodding. "Let's go before anyone notices it's gone."
The two began to slowly make their way towards the exit until someone smashed through the glass roof and the bodyguards locked the front doors.
(B/f/n) whipped around to look at who smashed through the glass, it was a (e/a/t) with (e/f/c) fur/feathers/scales holding someone by their arms.
"What?" (F/n) questioned behind her, "(e/n)? What is she/he doing?"
(B/f/n) began pushing through the crowd to see who the (e/a/t) was holding.
"(e/n)! You've brought back a fine catch! Well done!" Hasheem praised happily.
"Catch?" (E/n)'s 'catch' spat, "she/he attacked me when I was talking to my sister!"
Wait. Does that sound like? It can't be. (B/f/n) thought as she pushed through the crowd faster.
"Quiet (a/t), you must pay for what you've done." Hasheem snarled just as (b/f/n) broke through the crowd with (f/n) behind her.
What (b/f/n) saw before her horrified her. It was the one and only, (y/n).
