Shadow didn't know what to do. He didn't know how to talk to (y/n), he didn't know how to confront what he had said to her. Stupid decision, should've never said anything.

Thankfully, (Y/n) had texted him and told him not to go to their weekly watch of Gunner. The last few weeks were interesting ones with Hasheem being there as well. (Y/n) also hiding from Gunner's sight, in case he decided to just kill her then and there. Shadow didn't think he'd do it, but he also wouldn't put it past the bear.

Anyway, (y/n) had told him he was chatting with Flame tonight. Shadow was almost thankful he didn't have to talk to Gunner, but it also felt wrong to not talk to (y/n).

Shadow felt the need to talk to someone about (y/n)'s rejection, and regrettably, invited Sonic and Silver. It was more Sonic he regretted, Silver might actually be useful in a situation like this.

"You could just listen to what I have to say," (b/n) suggested across the living room, laying on the couch, "or, I guess it's what Beta has to say, but still."

Shadow sighed and raised his eyebrows at (b/n). "Being honest, I wouldn't trust any advice from you," he grumbled, "and who says your girlfriend knows anything, she died young too, didn't she?"

(B/n) sat up on the couch and glared at Shadow. "Don't be mean to Beta! Or else I'll..." (b/n) thought for a moment then sighed, "I don't know what I'll do but still!"

Shadow rolled his eyes and walked towards the front door, having heard knocks. "Whatever you say, (a/t)." Shadow opened the door and stepped to the side to let the other hedgehogs inside, "go on, sit down if you want."

"I thought you'd work tonight," Sonic admitted, flipping onto the couch directly where (b/n) was.

     Shadow was about to snap at Sonic for disregarding (b/n), but he then realized the (a/t) was a ghost and Sonic couldn't see him.

(B/n) rolled his eyes. "I'll be in your room if you need me," he sighed, standing up from the couch, "I doubt you will need me, but I'll be there."

Silver sat down next to Sonic. "What do you need? Whose watching (y/n)?" He asked, becoming a bit more concerned.

Shadow shrugged. "She's at Dunbar, there's a bunch of people she knows there, she'll be fine." Shadow explained, sitting where he was sitting before, "Something's happening between us so she didn't want to see me I guess."

"Oh?" Sonic questioned curiously, "Why? What happened? You two get in a fight or something?"

Shadow debates telling the two what happened, Sonic specifically. Shadow sighed, throwing his dignity out the window. "I fell for (y/n). I confessed to her yesterday, kissed her, and she said she can't." Shadow said quickly.

Sonic and Silver both looked bewildered and unsure of what to say to Shadow's confession. Silver was the first to speak. "Admittedly, that was not what I expected you to say."

     "Me either," Sonic admitted quietly, then started practically yelling, "She rejected you? Why would she do that? Amy didn't even get to drop her hints!"

Silver rolled his eyes. "You can't just make two people be together! It's wrong!"

There were several knocks at the door, Shadow got up to answer the door. (F/n) was on the other side, looking rather dishevelled and miserable. "I wanna talk to you, but you can't tell (y/n), got it?"
