"You two seem uncomfortable," Commander said looking at the black and red striped hedgehog and the (f/c) (a/t).
The two simply glanced at each other and then back at the Commander.
"Anyway, how did it go?" Commander asked.
"Well enough, Sonic let Dr. Eggman come back to the base before we were finished so we had to fight some of his badniks. Nothing too bad." Shadow explained simply.
"So no injuries from any of your teammates?" Commander asked.
"None that I'm aware of," Shadow replied, crossing his arms.
"Good, you're dismissed," Commander told the two. They both left faster than most would, avoiding each other's gazes.
Shadow
(Y/n) went in the direction of the cafeteria while Shadow went toward his room desperate to avoid discussing what Sonic suggested, and the (a/t) seemed to be on the same page.
Shadow went back to his room only to find Sonic and Silver in there. "Why are you two here?" Shadow snapped at them.
"Came to tease you even more about your new girlfriend," Sonic said smugly.
"Then get out, she is not my girlfriend," Shadow growled pointing to the door.
"I'm joking dude, I'm joking. Chill out." Sonic said, sitting up from Shadow's couch.
"It is weird though, you too seem close yet you just met each other." Silver stated.
"I will punch you," Shadow said, narrowing his eyes at Silver.
"As I said, chill. We're joking around Shads." Sonic said, Standing up to put his hands on his hips.
"Don't call me 'Shads'" Shadow snarled.
"Ok, Shads," Sonic said with a smirk.
Shadow grumbled low in his throat and decided to ignore the ignorant blue hedgehog.
"Oh come on! It's no fun when you don't fight back!" Sonic said smugly.
"Mind your own business," Shadow grumbled.
(Y/n)
"You sure you didn't recognize Sonic and Shadow immediately? Silver?" (B/f/n) asked, taking a sip of her coffee.
"I'm fairly sure." (Y/n) replied, stirring her coffee with a bored expression.
"You know, that's pretty impressive (y/n). Not knowing who the most famous guy in the world is." (F/n) stated with a smile on his face.
"I don't care if it is impressive or not, it's really stupid." (Y/n) grumbled.
"Ok let's talk about the dynamic between you and Shadow." (B/f/n) said placing her face in her hand.
"What do you mean?" (Y/n) asked while turning her phone up to look at a text.
Message from Grey:
I got to get on the train early so I get to see you even sooner than I hoped! See ya soon.
(Y/n) rolled her eyes at the message, And stuffed her phone into her pocket.
(F/n) narrowed his eyes at Vitesse, quickly getting serious. "I mean how well you and Shadow work together. You're perfect together!" (B/f/n) exclaimed.
"I wouldn't go that far." (Y/n) stated blandly.
"Ya I think Sonic has eyes for you." (F/n) joked, the seriousness in his eyes disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.
"Everyone has eyes for her." (B/f/n) said with a kind smile.
"Even if they have a girlfriend?" (Y/n) asked at the same time that (f/n) said "Except Shadow,"
"Ya but that's probably just Shadow." (B/f/n) stated, "though I wish he did because (y/n) and him would make some pretty babies." She winked.
"Don't do that." (y/n) said blankly, taking a sip from her coffee.
"She responded to your body language instead of what you said meaning... She agrees that they would make pretty babies!" (f/n) exclaimed with a sharp grin.
"The first part of what you said is correct." (y/n) said. Her phone began buzzing and she looked at it, it was Caliber(Caliber is your cousin). "I'm going to head back to my room."
"Why?" (b/f/n) questioned.
"Maybe she wants to have time to herself?" (f/n) stated with a grin.
"Exactly," (y/n) replied.
Sonic
As Sonic was leaving he saw (y/n), she was looking at her phone until she looked up and saw him. Sonic waved to her with a wink.
She rolled her eyes at him but still came over to talk to him.
"How's the new place?" Sonic asked, smirking.
"Not the best, all of the workers act like children." (y/n) stated with a slight glare in her eyes.
Sonic laughed making (y/n) raise her eyebrows at him. "It's just that that was the first thing Shadow and Rouge complained about when they got here."
"They must be more tolerant than me then." (y/n) growled.
"You know there is a thing next week, all of my friends —who are all pretty much Shadow's friends too— are gonna be there. You could invite your group of friends and come."
"Is this a question or a demand?" (y/n) asked skeptically.
"It's a question with one acceptable answer," Sonic said with the same smirk as before.
"Fine,"
"Yes! See you there!" Sonic said as he began walking away to leave the building.
As Sonic left the building he thought of how good of a friend (y/n) could be. She was beautiful for sure, but she didn't seem like the relationship kind. Either way, Sonic had Amy, and she was perfect for him.
(Y/n)
(Y/n) rolled her eyes at Sonic. Even if she had had a choice. She probably still would have gone despite her antisocial personality. She was probably due for more social interaction.
As she was almost at her place her phone rang. Grey. (y/n) growled lightly and went inside her place to answer the call.
"What do you want?" (y/n) growled into the phone.
"Oh, (n/n) are you unhappy?" Grey sneered through the phone.
"My day was fine until you called. I can't deal with you right now." (y/n) sighed going to hang up the phone.
"Wait! I just wanted to ask-" Grey was interrupted by (y/n) hanging up.
(y/n) sighed and laid down on her bed then went to call Caliber back.
Grey
Grey grumbled to himself. He just needed one tiny piece of information from her then he'd be good to go. He started at the G.U.N building in front of him.
"I wonder where she is in that building," Grey muttered to himself.
