Key:
(Y/n): Your Name
(A/t): Animal Type
(F/c): Fur Colour(Y/n) was in the park, sitting with a cat and a bat. He didn't know why, but he wished they weren't there so he could talk to her alone.
Grey wasn't sure why he was still obsessing over the (a/t). He had the urge to make her life a living hell. He barely remembered what he did to make her hate him.
But after she left, all Grey wanted to do was follow her and keep her unhappy. He didn't know where the urge came from, he just followed it.
A couple of months before their relationship ended he was falling out of love and would've wanted nothing to do with her after they broke up. But after whatever he did all he could think about was torturing (y/n) for the rest of her goddamn life.
"Y'know it's rude to stare weirdo." Grey looked away from (y/n) and her companions to look at his own companion. Well, therapist.
"Maroon," Grey said to the maroon-furred wolf, "you're a bit late. What held you up?"
Maroon smiled. "That's none of your business." She said, sitting down across from him, "Now why were you staring at those three?"
Grey shook his head. "Probably better if you don't know right now." He said, "Don't need to stir up hate."
Maroon raised her eyebrows. "Hate? Why do you hate them?" She asked.
Grey hated this therapy stuff. He only put up with it because of Maroon, he liked her. He loved the sound of her voice and how it sent chills up his spine. He liked how she made him feel, he didn't know how to explain the funny feeling inside him, but it was an amazing feeling.
"Hello? Weirdo?" Maroon said, waving a hand in Grey's face, "Grey? You alright?"
"Um, yeah, I'm good." He sighed, "And I don't hate any of them, they probably hate me though, one of them at least."
Maroon frowned. "Why is that?" She asked, then added; "And which one?"
Grey nodded towards (y/n) slightly. "(F/c) (a/t) in the middle. She's my ex and we don't have the best relationship."
Maroon's eyes widened. "Oh! Is that the mystery one?" She asked, "You should go talk to her! Resolve your relationship with her!"
Grey shook his head. "She doesn't want to be within 100 metres of me," he said, "I think it's better to leave them be."
Maroon's eyes narrowed. "You are scared to talk to her." She observed, "Why? Or are you afraid of her friends?"
Grey hunched his shoulders. "I mean, she does know how to shoot a gun and throw knives so I think it's reasonable that I'm scared of her." He said, "I'm pretty sure those are new friends too, I've never seen them."
"Look like the cat is leaving," Maroon said, "you should talk to her, it may help her to get over this relationship as well."
Grey shook his head. "She's absolutely over it, I saw her going to a cafe with a black hedgehog not long ago. She's over it."
Maroon sighed. "But that black hedgehog might just be a distraction, c'mon, you're going to talk to her." Maroon grabbed Grey's hand and dragged him away from his table and out of the restaurant toward the park.
Grey sighed. Guess I'm doing this today. Hope I don't screw this up.
As Maroon and Grey approached, the bat was laughing and (y/n) looked slightly amused. (Y/n) had never smiled in the time Grey had known her. He didn't know the reason, he had never thought to ask.
(Y/n) caught eye of Maroon approaching, but she didn't seem to notice Grey being dragged behind her.
Maroon
The (f/c) (a/t) frowned at the sight of Maroon approaching with Grey. It wasn't an angered frown, it was more of a confused and annoyed one of anything.
"Can we help you?" The (a/t) asked as Maroon stopped a couple steps away from the bench, she pulled Grey from behind her slightly, "No. Not happening. Go away."
The (a/t)'s tone had quickly changed from monotone to angered and possibly fearful.
"Not my idea." Grey muttered, loud enough for the (a/t) and bat to hear, then spoke louder, "(y/n), this is my therapist, Maroon the Wolf."
(Y/n)'s eyes narrowed venomously. "First of all, do you really think I'm going to believe that?" She snarled, "Second, does it look like I care?"
Maroon chuckled lightly, causing (y/n) to give her a suspicious look. "Listen, (y/n), I thought it'd be a good idea for you two to work through your problems and develop something besides hate for one another."
(Y/n) gave Maroon a somewhat offended look mixed with anger and confusion. "There will never be 'forgiveness' between us." She snarled, "Maybe if my life wasn't in shit right now, I'd play along, but I don't have time for this. We're leaving. Come on Rouge."
The bat, most likely Rouge, looked confused but immediately followed (y/n) when she stormed away.
Maroon wanted to follow them, but she could see that (y/n) was completely sincere in her decision and instead stared after them like an idiot.
Grey also didn't move from her side and instead stared at a few Chao lounging in a tree nearby.
Maroon sighed. "I'm surprised you don't have an 'I told you so', weirdo."
Grey chuckled. "I didn't think it needed to be said aloud, but can't say I didn't predict this."
Maroon turned toward him. "I am serious when I say you two need to work it out."
"And I'm serious when I say she hates me." Grey replied, "You heard her, she will never forgive me."
"There's hope," Maroon said, "maybe not for forgiveness, but a relationship that isn't set on hate."
Grey looked away from the Chao to Maroon. "Honestly, I can't say that will ever happen."
Maroon smiled softly. "But we sure as hell can try. Weirdo."
