(E/n) may seem like a bad guy, but she/he wasn't. She/he was forced into these things, Threatened.

(E/n) didn't even know who was threatening her/him, Hasheem was the only one who communicated with their leader.

Hasheem never talked about the threats or their leader, only their orders. Hasheem never even mentioned whether their leader was male or female.

Nobody dared to question the leader's orders, those who did never came back.

One of the leader's followers, Biron the Raccoon, disobeyed an order to kill some idiot who was trying to steal the leader's money. After he walked out on the execution, he never came back and everyone saw him missing on the television. They could assume what happened.

Either way, everyone knew never to disobey their leader. And (e/n) had done just the same when she/he was told to attack (y/n) for the first time.

(E/n) remembered it clearly, it was a miserable day and (y/n) was with a few mobians, a couple wolves, a (b/f/a/t), (f/a/t), and a cheetah. (Y/n) left the group to go somewhere, (e/n) had assumed home at the time.

(E/n) had lurked nearby waiting for a time to strike. (E/n) was only told to attack her and not kill her, it confused (e/n) but, again, she/he hadn't questioned it.

Once (e/n) had attacked her, (y/n) had fought back harder than (e/n) had expected. (E/n) was destroyed by (y/n), she/he had fled in fear that (y/n) would kill her/him.

(E/n) was scared her/his leader would kill her/him but they didn't, simply ignored (e/n)'s mistake and she/he was forced to try again.

(E/n) shook the thought out of her/his head and started towards Hasheem. (E/n) and Hasheem had begun dating during their work under the leader. Through the work, they had times where they drifted apart but they always came together again.

(E/n) made it to Hasheem and he looked at her/him with fear in his eyes. "What is it?" (E/n) asked, "it'll finally be over once we get rid of (y/n)!"

Hasheem shrugged. "I'm not sure it'll be that simple," he stated, "the leader wants something specific from (y/n). I don't think they'll let us go until they get what they want."

(E/n) sighed. "Then we pray they get what they want quickly," she/he told Hasheem, "it'll be okay, they can't live forever."

Hasheem looked doubtful but didn't argue instead looked toward the entrance of the building.

"Are they coming to get her?" (E/n) asked, "What about the others? (F/n) and (b/f/n)? What will we do with them?"

Hasheem shook his head. "If anything, the leader will have us kill them. Unless we release them and never tell the leader about them."

(e/n) hesitantly shrugged. "I don't care what happens to them," she/he snarled, "death or alive they don't affect me."

Hasheem chuckled. "Now I know that's a lie." He laughed, "The way you looked at the (f/a/t). You care about him enough to save him."

(E/n) blushed lightly. "I guess I never really stopped thinking of him as a friend." She/he admitted.

Before Hasheem could reply, there were loud knocks at the entrance of the building.

"Who is that?" Hasheem called to the guards at the door, "Don't let them in until you're sure who they are."

The taller guard looked through the window at the door. His face became confused. "Sir, it's the (a/t) (e/n) brought in."

Hasheem raised his eyebrows. "That's impossible," he stated blandly, "we have her locked up with the (f/a/t) and (b/f/a/t)."

"Don't believe me?" The guard questioned, "Come and look yourself, Hasheem."

Hasheem sighed and bound toward the guard and the door, (e/n) trailing behind him.

As Hasheem looked through the window his eyes widened in confusion and shock. (E/n) moved closer to Hasheem to look through the window as well. It was (y/n).

"Bring her in!" Hasheem ordered, "and grab the other one. Let's see who's the real one."

The other guard nodded and left toward the room holding the other (y/n).

Hasheem threw the door open and dragged (y/n) inside, she didn't struggle at all and it seemed like she would've wandered in on her own.

The other guard showed up with the other (y/n). The two looked at each other for a moment before the door (y/n) turned toward Hasheem and (e/n).

"I am (y/n) the (a/t), you have my cousin, Zinc the (a/t), release her and I can promise she will not tell anyone about your operation here." She snarled.

The (y/n) from the room sighed. "You don't have to do this, just let me protect you." She said quietly.
"We will let her go," Hasheem said stiffly, "just as long as she doesn't reveal anything."

The door (y/n) nods. "Of course, right Zinc?" (Y/n) turns to Zinc and looks her dead in the eyes.

Zinc sighed and slowly walked past (y/n) towards the door. She seemed sluggish and sad.

(E/n) could understand why. She was trying to protect her cousin and failed at doing so.

The guard at the door opened the door and was ready to slam the door behind Zinc.

Just before she was out the door, Zinc turned back and looked at (e/n) and her eyes also drifted to Hasheem, then across the entire room.

"What're you waiting for?" (E/n) snapped impatiently, "leave here or we will kill you."

"I just thought I'd tell you something before I leave," Zinc said, "like a goodbye gift?"

Hasheem was getting impatient. "Hurry up, or we will follow through with (e/n)'s threats."

Zinc rolled her shoulders as if stretching. "Well," she began, "I just thought you'd want to know you got the wrong (a/t)."

The previously thought to be Zinc now discovered (y/n) raised a gun and pointed it and a shot rang out.

Since we are about halfway through the book, I'd like to ask something. I have a prequel and a sequel to this book(neither are finished) but which one would people be more interested in seeing? The prequel will be (y/n)'s teen years, it probably won't involve any cannon characters except maybe Scourge. The sequel will be set in the future focusing on the future generation. Which one would you rather see first? And whichever one is chosen will only begin posting after this book is completed.
