"We need to talk." Jackson says. Don't tell me he saw too. Fuck. That's bad. I'll never hear the end of it.

Ok just play it cool. "What about?" I say nonchalantly.

He looks at me as though I'm dumb before saying "I have some answers, kinda."

"About what?"

"Your company. I whent to see my grandma earlier remember?" Oh shit yeah. That completely whent over my head.

"Right. What did she say?"

"Sit." He says. I tug open the covers and make myself comfy, the same way that he is. He then continues.

"She said that she was helping run the company, that it wasn't hers, she just took over. She said about a board and they thought one of the people on the board owned the company but no one knew who. One day a girl from the board came to her and told her to send you the letter and when and where to send it in case of an emergency. She told my grandmother how to run the company and to teach you when you contacted her. The day after the full board mysteriously died."

"Oh my god."

"Still no one knows who killed them. The lady also told my grandma to be cautious and to not tell anyone that she was running the company. She assumed it was because it would put her in danger." He stops to assess my reaction.

"Does that mean I'm in danger?"

"Possibly yes. She said she looked to see if anyone was a relative of yours, with them giving you the company. There was one with your mothers maiden name but she wasnt on the board so it would be very unlikely for them to own it."

"So now what do we do?"

"I think we should start off by continuing to figure out that code from your letter. What is that code?"

I reach for my draw. Pulling out the folded piece of paper. I get it out and hand it to him.

He reads it over, looking back up to me. "Just reading that gave me a headache."

"Tell me about it. I can't stop thinking about what it could mean." I look back at the letter like it will tell me the answer if I look close enough, it doesn't.

"Where'd you go?"

"Hm?"

"Tonight. Where'd you go?"

"Tara's." I answer quickly, a little too quickly.

"Where we're you really?"

"Tara's." I repeat.

"Don't lie to me Rhi."

"I'm not lying." Shit what do I do.

"So Tara's lying then? Because when I whent round her house she said you weren't there. So I'll ask again. Where were you?"

"Well really it's none of your business."

"I just spent the whole fucking day getting answers for you and you can't even be honest with me about where you were?" He says with hurt in his voice. "You ditched me and whent out of your way to lie to my face don't you think I deserve an explanation?" Ouch.

I look at him in regret. He looks at me for a moment before leaving the room and shuting my door harshly but not quite slamming it because it is late and someone could be sleeping.

I didn't mean to hurt him. Maybe I should've just been honest with him. I don't know how he's going to react. He doesn't want to lose me so that makes him hostile to new people. If I got a boyfriend or even just going on dates, it would mean spending more time with them alone, thus leaving out Jackson. As much as I hate the thought of leaving out Jackson, I really want a relationship. I want to get to know Tyler more and I want to be open to seeing where this goes. If for some reason it doesn't work out then it's pointless getting Jack worked up for nothing. Right? It's best if I don't tell him. Not yet at least.
