"If you would let me speak for 5 seconds without interrupting me with one of your stupid comments then maybe I'd tell you why you're here."

"Go ahead." Kelly says.

"I need to find out some information and the person I need it from will be more inclined to tell you rather then me."

"Why can't your little boy toy over there do it?"

Jacksons face srunches up. "What did you just call me?" That's irrelevant.

"Beacuse she knows that Jackson will report back to me."

"I don't report back to you.....not all the time anyway." Jackson defends.

"What about your other friends?" She questions. Is she dumb?

"They're too obvious. Which is why you're perfect for the job. No one will suspect a thing because I would never in a million years be friends with you."

"Right back at you. What do I get in return?"

"If you don't screw us over I'll give you access to any updates on my app before the public."

"Why the hell would I want that? I didn't even know you had an app."

"It will benefit you because we have a new feature I think you'd be interested in. I'm not really meant to be telling you this but it's not like anyone can fire me. The new feature is about advertising your parties so you post it and other people will get the details and show up."

"If I wanted to advertise a party of mine what's stopping me from using other kinds of social media?"

"This section of the app will only be for parties and events. You can search to your wants and needs. You want to go to a party on a random Saturday night, you can find the ones closest, the ones more your style, the ones your friends, if you have any, are attending. You can follow all different people who's parties you like or want to see more of so you can go to them again."

"Hm. Before I say yes to this I'm making some rules."

"Go ahead. Give us your list of demands." I say.

"Are we seriously going to let this happen?" Jackson whispers not so quietly considering how close Kelly is.

"I already anticipated this. Go ahead."

"Number 1, no illegal shit, I'm not going to jail for you. Number 2, If I don't like a question I'm not going to ask it. Number 3, I'm not questioning anyone that I don't want to, within reason. Number 4, if for some reason I get caught doing something I shouldn't be you best belive I'm dragging you down with me. Number 5, you're not allowed to tell anyone, ever, about this alliance because this doesn't make us friends."

"Ok, but you're not to tell anyone either. If someone finds out you're working with me it could end extremely badly for you. Whatever information you get, you tell absolutely no one else, apart from me and Jackson understand."

"No one else, got it."

"Not your friends, not my friends, not your family. You take it to your grave." I say.

"Jeez, I get it already." She rolls her eyes.

"I'm serious, this is life or death."

"That's a bit dramatic." She says. If only she knew.

"It's quite literally life or death." Jackson agrees.

Kelly just looks between the two of us, mumbling something about how she 'sees it' whatever the hell that means.

The more I look at the photo of the photo on my phone, the more I can't help but question.

I always remember Ira and Penny being friends, bestfriends. They were always introduced to me as friends, that's what I always knew and what I always believed. Looking back at the two photos I see something else, something different, something I didn't see before.
