"What? Expecting someone else, Jackson perhaps?" He tauntingly asks.

"I'm not in the mood for your pathetic games, leave. Now."

He pulls a gun out of his pocket and aims it at me. "Who said I was playing games Mariana?"

"And now you're pulling out your toy gun, impressive."

He aims the gun to the side and fires it quickly into a nearby tree, proving that he's not bluffing, before returning it back at me. My body stiffens as the loud bang sounds throughout the woods. Ok, maybe he's not playing around, which means I'm in real danger.

I'd been too focused on the task at hand, catching the killers that I'd forgotten about Tyler. Jackson had him, but not anymore so how the hell did he get out and why didn't Jackson tell me?

I thought that I was safe from him, that he wouldn't be a problem anymore but here he is standing infront of me now.

"Since you were a bitch about it, I guess I'll just have to kill you whether it fucks with my mom's plan or not." He says. "Unless you beg."

"After everything you've done to me you want me to beg to you? For what? Your forgiveness? Keep it. You want me to confess my undying love for you, beg you to love me too? I feel nothing for you and nothing but hatred towards you. If you want me to beg for your trust you can forget it. If you trust me I'll stab you in the back, over and over again. I'm not going to beg you period." If I go out, I might as well go out speaking my mind.

"Beg for your life or I'll shoot you."

"You take my life and as a result you're taking your own. Any freedom you have will be gone. I told you I'm smart and I mean it, everyone will find out that you killed me, you can bet your bottom dollar on it."

"And how would they know that?"

"I have my ways." I do but not this time, I was definitely not expecting this. I'm just hoping the threat is enough to put him off.

The edges of his lips curve up into a sinister smile. "It'll be worth it." He says as his finger on the trigger moves.

Time seems to move slowly.

Frozen in place I squeeze my eyes tightly shut.

A loud bang echoes through the air, the noise ringing though my ears. I hold my breath waiting for the impact but it doesn't come.

I quickly open my eyes and I don't come face to face with Tyler. Instead he's stood infront of me with his wide eyes boring into mine. Oh no. Not again. I told him not to, he should've listened.
