Chapter Ten Daughter & Granddaughter Bonding Time Pt 1

(Summer)

Sweetheart I want to apologize for being absent from your life these last fifteen years but I won't be going anywhere, How's your dad doing? Ruby spoke saying Dad's doing good and he will be glad that team STRQ is finally going to be reunited at last mom, Upon hearing that Tai was doing good I made silent vow to go to Patch and visit Tai, Ruby then led me into her home and once inside the house Ruby said do you want anything to drink mom and I said do you have any coffee and Ruby said we do mom, does black coffee work mom and I said with a small smile that would be wonderful dear. I sat at the kitchen table as Ruby made me some black coffee, Where's your wife Weiss dear and Ruby said Weiss is currently at the SDC for a couple of meetings with board members but she should be home in two hours for lunch and then she will work from home for the remainder of the day, As for your granddaughter Summer she should be up in her playroom if you want to go and meet her mom, I would love to meet her dear, I've missed so much Ruby, How old is Summer and Ruby said Summer is six years old mom and she's a carbon copy of you minus the white hair from her mommy and she's a very adventurous and sneaky little girl but I couldn't ask for a better child then her mom and I said Summer reminds me of a little petal of mine who loved to explore around our home and she would get into trouble quite often which caused Ruby's cheeks to turn bright red with embarrassment which caused me to laugh and I said you don't need to embarrased dear you and your sister were perfect little angels most of the time.

Speaking of your sister how's she doing and Ruby said Yang's doing really well mom she's currently a doctor for human & faunuses and she's also married to a cat faunus named Blake who was on my team at Beacon and she's very nice and I said I hope that I can meet her at some point Ruby and Ruby said you might be able to since Yang & Blake are going to be stopping by tomorrow and they both will be spending the night before they head home in three days, You are more then welcome to stay here with Summer Weiss & Myself for as long as you need and I said I don't want to be a bother but Ruby cut me off and she said you wouldn't be a bother mom besides I want you to be able to recover from whatever you went through these past fifteen years at the hands of Salem which made me smile and I said if you insist I will stay with you and your family Ruby. After Ruby & I talked and I had finished my coffee I said I'm going and meet my granddaughter which caused Ruby to smile and she said have fun spending time with your granddaughter mom and I said I will dear, I then walked out of the kitchen and I headed in the direction of the stairs upon reaching the stairs I placed one foot on the bottom I then ascend up them before I had reached the second level of the massive house and reaching the second floor I walked down the hallway until I had reached Summer's playroom door when I reached the door I knocked on the door and I heard a soft voice say come in and so I pushed the door open and I walked inside the playroom and once inside I noticed just how big it was on the inside and I couldn't help but let out a small gasp which caused my granddaughter to turn around and she said Hello are you my grandma Summer? I responded to Summer's question with tears of happiness running down my face and a huge smile on my face and I said yes sweetie I am your grandma I said as I knelt down and I opened my arms and Summer came crashing into my embrace and Summer had tears running down my face and she said I'm glad that you're finally here grandma and I said I glad to be home with everyone and I'm not going away anytime soon. And so Summer and I played any game that she wanted to until it was time for lunch at which time I took Summer downstairs and we joined her momma and mommy for luch.
