Chapter Sixty Eight Summer Finds A Toddler pt 2

February 19th 

(Summer Rose Schnee) After several hours of filling our adoption papers online I had filled out all required papers that I need to officially adopt Mackenzie and I had given her the name of Mackenzie Annabelle Schnee and I after I had finalized the paperwork I then submitted the online paperwork to the Vale Continental Adoption Center and I waited for another hour the adoption center then called me on my scroll.

I told them everything from finding an abandoned child outside of Grimm Food Market and that she was living in a dumpster to everything in between and then they asked if I had a stable income to support a child and I said yes I do have a very stable source of income to sustain a child since I was the heir to the Schnee Dust Company and that I was also training to become a huntress. 

After I had answered all the questions honestly I was transferred over to a social worker and then they asked me a couple of questions about Mackenzie and I answered all of them and then the social worker who's name was Daniel said with what I could tell was a smile even on the other side of the call Well Ms. Schnee After I have checked your records to adopt little Mackenzie I can safely say that you have passed with flying colors and you should be receiving a certificate that will signify that Mackenzie is properly yours now by mail in about three business days. 

Though we will be sending a child councilor to check in on you your girlfriend and Mackenzie and I said that's okay thank you and Daniel said you're welcome Ms. Schnee and if you have any questions don't be afraid to call or email us and I said with a smile can do, Once again thanks again and I then hung up my scroll. 

I then took off my reading glasses and I placed them onto the table next to my laptop and I then stood up from the kitchen table and I stretched and then looked over at Kelly who was curled under a blanket on the couch waiting tv and I said Hey Babe guess what? and Kelly looked up at me and she said What's up hun? And I said It's official Mackenzie is our baby girl and Kelly said that's wonderful Sum though we still have a slight problem and I said what's that and Kelly said we need to tell your moms and I still have to tell my mom.

I couldn't help but cringe and I said you're right why don't we call my moms together and then we can call your mom together and Kelly said sounds good, I then walked back over to the table and I picked up my scroll and I then walked back over to the couch and I then called Mom's scroll since she was more consistent with answering her scroll. 

I then dialed mom's scroll contact and after a few moments of ringing mom answered her scroll and she said Hi Pedal how're you doing and I said I'm doing great mom and mom said that's wonderful to hear dear. I then said mom is momma around and mom said yes she sure is as a matter of fact she's sitting right next me and I said well I have some exciting news that I wanted to share and mom asked Are you pregnant? Momma looked at mom with a dirty look and she said Shut It You Dolt.

I then looked at Kelly and I mouthed go and get Mackenzie and she nodded and I then looked back at mom and momma I said well today after I had bought groceries for the apartment I had finished putting the groceries into the car when I heard the sound of crying so I followed the crying until I had reached a dumpster outside of the Grimm Food Market and I looked inside and I saw a two year old little girl and she was shivering since she didn't have proper clothes on. All she had to cover herself was a tattered t-shirt and a wet diaper.

So long story short I brought her back to the apartment and I changed her into a clean diaper and clean clothes before I had put her down for a nap and once Mackenzie had fallen asleep I then spent the last three hours signing adoption papers and I also have answered all the questions that were asked honestly. 

I then braced for the inevitable yelling but surprisingly none came and Momma said with a smile can I see my granddaughter and I then asked You aren't mad mom and momma, And momma spoke on behalf of herself and mom,Momma then said No sweetie we aren't mad at you though we wish that you had waited at least another year before adopting a child but you'd the right thing by taking the little one in. 

A minute later Kelly came out of Mackenzie's nursery and she was carrying a wide awake Mackenzie and then Kelly then placed Mackenzie into my arms and she then turned my scroll to Scroll-Time and I then whispered into Mackenzie's ear while I pointed at my moms and I said can you say hello to grandma Ruby and Granny Weiss sweetie, 

Mackenzie then waved shyly at her grandma and granny and she then said shyly hewwo gamma and gwanny and then mom squealed loudly and she would've continued if momma hadn't smacked mom across the back of the head, Mom rubbed the back of her head and she then looked back at me and she said sorry hun, I just can't help it my granddaughter is so gosh darn cute. 

Mom then asked have you and Kelly found a nanny for Mackenzie? And I shook my head and I said no we haven't started looking yet mom and mom said well I had a hunch that you guys might need some help so I texted your Great Aunt Allura and she's on her way to become Mackenzie's new nanny.

Mom Momma Kelly Mackenzie and Myself talked for while until we said our goodbyes and I was about to go to kitchen to make dinner when I heard the sound of knocking on the front door and so I walked over to the front door and unlocked it before I opened the door and standing on the doorstep was Great Aunt Allura and she said with a large smile Nanny Allura Rose Whitestag reporting for duty and I then said come inside Aunty I then welcomed Aunty Allura inside the apartment.
