Chapter One Hundred & Forty One Big Sister Comfort

May 4th

Sixteen Years Ago

(Yang Xaio Long) After Dinner I pulled Weiss aside and I led her to mine and Blake's guest room so we could talk, Once we had reached the room I saw that Blake was off in the corner of the room reading the latest volume of the Katana and I couldn't help but smile at my bookworm of a wife, I truly love her with my whole heart.

I then motioned for Weiss to take lay on the bed so that way she would be comfortable while we talked, Weiss then walked over to the bed and she laid down on it and I asked Weiss is something the matter? Weiss said no why do you ask Yang? I then said to me it seems that you were a little distant during dinner, Weiss said sorry Yang I just have a lot on my mind at the current with the party tomorrow, to stocking the nursery with clothes and everything.

I then walked over to the bed and I sat down next to Weiss and I said Weiss you know that if you need help with anything don't be afraid to ask and Weiss said with a soft smile Thanks Yang, Blake spoke up from her book saying Weiss remember that even after all these years we are still a team to which Weiss responded I know I just can't wrap my head around the fact in five months Ruby & I are going to be mothers and frankly I quite scared Yang.

I place my hand on Weiss's shoulder and I said you have every reason to be scared Weiss but remember to let the rest of us inside, Let me tell you a story as you know when I was just a few months old mom left me and dad to protect us from the Grimm & Salem since mom was the Spring Maiden and for a while it was just dad & I with Summer coming to visit quite often and then when I had turned two years old Summer & Dad got married.

Two years later Summer was pregnant with Rubes and as a little girl I was concerned that momma and daddy were going to forget about me when Ruby was born, but thankfully that didn't happen Summer had me be a part of her pregnancy which meant if she needed something I would be there to help, When momma had been taken to the hospital to give birth to Ruby I was sent to stay with Uncle Qrow until momma had given birth to Rubes.

When the day came that Ruby was born after two days of momma being in labor, Uncle Qrow and I were outside playing tag when his scroll started to ring and so he answered and he talked to dad and after Uncle Qrow had ended the call we rushed to the hospital to meet baby Ruby, After we had arrived and we had made our way to momma's room I saw that mom had dropped by to see baby Ruby though she wouldn't be able to stay long.

I ran over to mom and I hugged her and she returned the hug and then she held baby Ruby and she stayed for about an hour before she had to leave which made me sad that mom had to go but I was glad that I got to see her, After mom had left I carefully climbed onto momma's bed and she said to me Yang this is your baby sister Ruby Rose and she asked me do you want to hold her? I nodded my head and then Ruby was carefully placed in my arms.

As I was holding Ruby her silver eyes opened for the first time and we locked eyes and I made a vow to always be there to love and protect her, And I have kept that vow for two and a half decades, In short I remember that when momma was pregnant with Ruby she was very scared at the thought of being a good mother but those fears didn't come true and she was the best mom that she could be to Ruby & I growing up.

Trust me Weiss you and Ruby are going to be great parents just take it slow when the baby arrives because it isn't the end of world if you make a mistake while your baby's growing, Weiss looked at me and she said You sound like you have had a child Yang, I then said hey remember that after Summer vanished dad was in a deep depression and so I pretty much raised Ruby until dad had snapped out of his grief and Uncle Qrow had yelled at him.

After ten minutes of silence I heard a cute little snore and so I looked down and I saw that Weiss's head was laying on my chest and since the bed could fit three people I gently laid Weiss in the middle of the bed before I covered her up and I then laid a pillow under her head, I looked over at Blake and I saw a big smile on her face, An hour later Blake came to bed and we both then turned in for the night since the party was tomorrow and we all need some sleep.
