Chapter One Hundred & Forty Nine Back to the Present

May 12th

(Summer Rose Schnee) I was working on a class project in my private study in the apartment when I heard a knocking on the door which made me sigh and I then stood up from my desk chair and I then walked over to the door and I then opened it and I looked down and I saw Mackenzie standing there, I then put on a smile Hi sweetie do you need something? Mackenzie then said Momma I bored and I said with a sad smile I'm sorry sweetie can you go to the playroom and I will come play with you in ten minutes okay and Mackenzie said okay mommy.

Mackenzie then walked to her playroom and I felt bad for not being able to play with our daughter but sadly I had to get a headstart on the project otherwise Calvin Kelly Uru & I were going to fail on our Grimm Biology project that Professor Xiao Long gave us to do and it's due in two weeks from this  friday which has me stressing out and I haven't been able to get much sleep the last couple of nights, I feel like a terrible mom for not spending as much time with our youngest daughter.

I walked back over to my desk and I sat down and I started to work on our essay and after ten minutes of writing I decided to take a break and so I closed my notebook where I had been writing our essay and I then left the the notebook on my desk and I then walked out of my private study and I headed out to the living room before I headed towards the playroom.

As I arrived at the playroom door I heard the sound of crying and so I opened the door and I walked inside and the first thing that I saw Mackenzie laying on the floor crying and so I walked quickly over to her to examine her for any injuries, and so I knelt down next to her and I then gently turned her over to examine her for injuries and thankfully she didn't have any injuries on her, But I still didn't know why she was crying until it dawned on me.

During the last few days I had spent time in my study working and I haven't spent time with Mackenzie lately due to the project, I then gently stood Mackenzie up and I said with a soft voice shh shh honey momma's here and I gently pulled her into my arms and I held her tight, Mackenzie just continued to cry into my chest.

After a few minutes of crying Mackenzie's tears eventually become sniffles and I then asked her baby girl why were you crying? Mackenzie looked me in the eyes and she said Momma & Mommy don't love me anymore these seven words broke my heart, I then said that isn't true baby girl your momma & mommy love you so much and we are so very sorry for not spending time with you as much the last couple of days.

Can you ever forgive mommy & momma baby girl? Mackenzie then gave me a big smile and she said yes I can momma, I only want in return is a tea-party sometime this week with you and mommy and I said oh we will be there pumpkin, Mackenzie then took my hand and she led me over to her doll house and we played dolls for a couple of hours.

Mackenie just remember that there will be times where mommy & I won't be able to spend time with due to the two of us being in school and we will have homework but we will make time to spend it with you, Mackenzie then asked as we played with her dolls Really Momma? and I said really baby girl, Have you been a good girl for Auntie Allura this week? Mackenzie nodded her head and I said good as I ruffled her curly auburn hair and I then placed a kiss on her cheek which made her giggle.

Even-though it's hard at time to balance both being a student and a mom to a three year old I wouldn't change it for the world ever.
