Chapter Forty One Sick Days pt 1

                                                                                                                          January 15th
(Summer Rose-Schnee) At eight o clock the alarm clock went off and I sat up in bed and I then crawled over to the bunk bed's ladder and I then climbed down the ladder and I then walked over to my closet and I was picking out my outfit for the day when I felt sick to my stomach and I then sprinted to the bathroom and once inside I knelt down in front of the toilet and I started to throw up into the toilet.

As I was throwing up I felt a hand rubbing my back and then the person said Are you okay Summer and I said I'm fine and I then finished throwing up before I flushed the toilet and I then carefully stood up from the toilet and I then turned around and I came face to face with my team leader and girlfriend Kelly Vanille who was looking at me with concern written on her face and she said Sum are you sure that you are feeling okay because your face is paler than normal it would make me feel better if you stayed behind today since you might be sick and I said I feel fine babe which caused Kelly to sigh and then she said why don't I take your temperature and if it's anywhere in the low hundreds then you will stay behind from classes today. Kelly then opened the medicine drawer and then she took out the thermometer for foreheads and then she gently placed it on my forehead and we waited for two minutes until the thermometer beeped and Kelly then carefully peeled it off my forehead and then she said just as I thought you have an temperature of 102.4 which meands that you need to stay back babe.

I opened my mouth to argue that this wasn't fair luv Kelly must have read my mind and she said I know that this doesn't seem fair but I'm doing this because I care about you and I love more than anything babe, I then said but what about classes and taking notes for our upcoming exams babe? Kelly then said don't worry I will be taking notes for you while you remain back at the dorm and rest and recover and I then sighed and I said alright you win babe.

Kelly then gave me some cold medicine and then she sent me back to bed and I rested while the rest of my team went to class, I fell back asleep for a few hours and I slept until I heard a gentle knocking at the door and so I carefully got out of bed and I then climbed back down the ladder and then I walked over to the door and I then opened it and I looked up and I saw mom standing there with a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a few comedy films and I said with suprise in my voice Mom what are you doing here? Mom said your Aunt Blake called me and she found out from Kelly that you are sick so I took the day off of work to come here and help take care of you since your mother is currently sitting in a few SDC meetings throughout today with the board of directors so here I am sweetie.

I then said thank you for coming mom and mom then walked over to the nightstand before she placed the comedy films and soup onto it and then she walked back over to me and then she gently cupped my chin and she said you don't have to thank me sweetie, part of my job as your mom is to always be there for you when you need anything the same goes with your mother, because no matter how old you get you'll always be our baby girl and then mom hugged me tightly and then she said now let's get some soup into your stomach and then you and me are going to watch some comedy films that you like and we can cuddle if you like and I then carefully noded my head yes and so mom and I watched a few comedy films while I ate the hot chicken noodle soup and I then fell back asleep during one of the movies with my head on mom's chest with a smile on my face.
