Chapter Twenty Eight Flashbacks Pt 2 & The Final Battle For Now

                                                                                 January 2nd 2023

(Ruby Rose) Once we had finally had gotten the coordinates to Salem's Castle I gathered the teams into the briefing room and once we all had gathered in the briefing room I said alright guys after many years of searching for Salem's fortress our woman on the inside has given me the coordinates of the castle and we will strike the knockout blow to Salem tomorrow morning at dawn, Team RWBY will infiltrate the castle while Team CFVY and ABRN will help the Atlas Military keep the Grimm and Salem's Inner Circle busy while Team JRN will plant explosives throughout the castle so that way once Salem has been defeated and we all have evacuated the vicinity Yang will level the castle with the detonator to which Yang said while fist pumping in excitement Booyah. 

After an hour of finalizing the details of the plan I then said you all should get some rest since tomorrow's going to be the battle for the survival of Remnant and I want you all to be your best selves I then dismissed everyone before I headed to the room that Team RWBY shared in the apartment in the capital of Vale and I slept in the embrace of my girlfriend Weiss Schnee and once dawn rolled around I headed to the closet and I grabbed my combat gear and I quickly got into my combat gear before I grabbed plenty of dust ammunition as well as Crescent Rose and I then quickly woke up my team during the course of the last eight years of traveling and fighting the four of us had grown so close as team the four of us considered each other sisters and family. Once I had woken up my sisters they quickly got dressed into their combat gear and then they gathered their weapons and then we quickly ran to the hangar and we then boarded our bullheads and then the bullheads along with the Atlas Navy and ground forces we headed towards Salem's castle in the wastelands that were on the continent that lay to the far north beyond the destroyed continent of Atlas. 

And once we had reached the edge of Salem's realm I grabbed my scroll from my belt and I then brought it up to my mouth and I then climbed onto a table and I then gave a motivational speech saying friends, allies, and family today's the day that we have been fighting for, Today's the day that all of our fallen friends and allies will be avenged, Today's the day that we fight not only for our families and friends but today we will all be fighting for Kingdoms as well as Human and Faunus kind which earned me a loud round of applause from everyone, I then yelled out a battlecry FOR ATLAS, FOR BEACON ACADEMY, FOR HAVEN, & FOR ALL Of THE FALLEN OF THIS WAR BECAUSE TODAY WE ARE GOING TO WIN. 

Once I had finished giving my speech I turned to my teammates and I saw that their jaws were lying on the floor and then I said with a chuckle pick up your jaws girls we still have a job to do I then walked over to the cargo door and I then turned on my comlink and I said Hawk open the cargo door and he replied back yes ma'am and once the cargo door was opened then I turned and looked at my team and I said come on girls let's finish this fight with I said before I backflipped out the bullhead and I then spread my arms like an eagle and I then angled my body so It was pointed at the ground and as the ground started to come up quickly I then pulled Crimson Rose off of my back and once I was near the ground I activated my semblance and I used it like a airbag to cushion my impact and I then rushed into the midst of the battle and I started to carve a path for the Atlesian Military and our allies and once I had cleared a big enough path for our allies Weiss Yang & Blake had reached my side and Weiss said that was extremely dangerous what you did you dolt you could've turned into paste if you hadn't used your semblance to cushion yourself after you jumped out of the bullhead and I said Weiss now isn't the time for scolding or haven't you forgotten that there's an even bigger fight happening around us and Weiss said you're right Rubes and I then said Salem's castle lies just ahead and we have to clear a path into the castle so Jaune Ren & Nora can plant the explosives do you understand girls? Which earned me a hell yeah. 

And I then said Salem's going to be expecting me to fight her alone which is why we need to split up Weiss Yang and Blake you guys will need to help Jaune Ren & Nora in exterminating the Grimm in the Castle while I go and face Salem, Yang closed the distance between us and she hugged me tightly and with tears running down her face She said Rubes please let me help you fight Salem and I said Yang I have to do this alone it's my destiny to end Salem forever and Yang said with a trembling voice I don't want to lose you to Rubes I have already lost my step-mom Summer Rose and I don't want to lose you to and I then broke off the hug and I then took Yang's hands into mine and I said Yang I can't promise that I won't perish during the final battle but I will do my best to come back in one piece. I then gave Weiss a quick kiss on her soft lips and once I broke off the kiss Weiss said with tears rolling down her cheeks please survive this confrontation dolt and I said I will my snow princess, I then turned my gaze to Blake and I said Blake protect them and Blake said I promise Ruby Blake then gave me a quick hug before I said Go Girls and be safe I said as I dashed away from them. 

I dashed until I reached the throne room doors and I then loaded some explosive dust into the firing chamber of Crimson Rose and I then took aim at the door before I pulled the trigger and then the throne room doors fell down and I stormed into the throne room and when I saw that it was empty I screamed SALEM SHOW YOURSELF and a voice spoke out from the darkness AH the last silver eyed warrior has decided to show herself and then the lights turned on and Salem stood up from her throne with Neo standing to right of Salem's throne and I saw that she was starting get an itchy weapon finger but I shook my head and I mouthed wait to which nodded back. 

I then walked to the middle of the room and I then held Crimson Rose in both of my hands tightly and then Salem drew her corrupted black two handed sword she then charged towards me with the sword pointed at my forehead and at the last moment I ducked down and I then used my legs to sweep Salem's out from underneath her and I then brought my scythe in a downward sweeping motion and Salem easily blocked it but I had anticipated her blocking me and then Salem swung her sword at my feet in an attempt to cut off my feet but I simple backflipped away from the swing I then feinted a slash to Salem's right side which she blocked rather easily and while Salem was distracted fighting me I mouthed to Neo saying Now and Neo then ran down the stairs of the throne and then over to Salem and she pulled out her sword and she then rammed it into Salem's back which caused her Aura to fail as well as causing her focus on Neo instead of me and as Salem turned around to face Neo she quickly backhanded Neo which caused Neo to fall to the ground but in the nanosecond that Salem was distracted I activated my Silver Eyes which I used to turn Salem into stone and once she was encased into stone I ran over to the encased Salem I then quickly had brought Crimson Rose down in a downward motion onto Salem's head which split her head in half and just as a precaution I dissected Salem's body one body part after another. Once I had finished cutting Salem up I wiped the blood off of my face and I then looked at Neo who had a look of concern on her face and she whispered Ruby your face is bleeding and I said I know Neo but we need to get out of here now and Neo just nodded her head and I then grabbed her hand I then used my semblance to dash us both out of the throne room and once I had met back up with Teams RWBY & JRN I said let's get out of here guys and then we all started running and as we ran I said Yang start the countdown and she looked at me like was crazy and I said in my commanding voice did I stutter dear sister start the damn countdown and Yang said in a submissive voice yes Ruby, Yang then started the countdown on her gauntlet and I then said everyone grab onto each other and me.

Once everyone had locked together I then activated my semblance and I rushed us out of the exploding castle and I kept running away from the explosion until we had reached the bullhead and it was only then when I stopped running and I then turned around we all watched as the remnants of Salem's Castle explode and then we all cheered once we all had finished cheering we then boarded our bullheads and we flew back to Vale leaving the broken Kingdom of Salem behind us and it was only once we had gotten airborne again did I finally collapse from exhaustion.
