Chapter One Hundred & Seventeen Babysitting Mackenzie pt 1

April 10th

(Weiss Schnee) So Summer & Kelly will be bringing Mackenzie over to our house and Ruby & I would babysit her while her moms went on a date, The girls were due to arrive in an hour and so I walked to the front door and I then unlocked it before I walked to the kitchen.

Once I had entered the kitchen I saw that Ruby was busy making several batches of cookies which me giggle watching zip around the room with her semblance and I called out to her Slow Down Dolt, Ruby whipped her head around she then smiled at me and then she said sorry Weiss can't help it, I'm very excited that our youngest grandchild is coming to visit us.

I then walked over to stove and I saw that Ruby had made six batches of cookies and I then walked back over to Ruby and I tilted her head up and when we locked eyes I said you sure do spoil our grandkids Petal and Ruby said hey I can't it it's part of my job as a grandmother Snowflake I then said fair enough.

I then whispered into Ruby's ear and I said if you are a good girl while Mackenzie's here you will get an amazing present tonight at bedtime Petal and Ruby said you have yourself a deal, Besides I want to be the one on top Princess and I said you have yourself a deal Petal I then placed a chaste kiss on Ruby's lips and I then started to walk out of the kitchen.

I then said as I stood in the doorway and I said Make sure that you clean up the kitchen before the girls get here babe and Ruby said don't worry snowflake I will have this kitchen clean before they get here don't worry about it. 

I then couldn't help but chuckle at Ruby's childishness I then walked to the living room and I then grabbed my laptop off the table and I then decided to do some computer work while I waited for Summer Kelly & Mackenzie. 

When Ruby told me of the plan that her and Qrow had come up with with Cynthia being a spy in Salem's inner circle I was beyond livid and for a week Ruby slept on the couch as a punishment for not telling me as well as putting our oldest granddaughter in a very dangerous situation. 

If someone told me years ago that a former enemy of our would become a part of our large and extended family I wouldn't have believed them though I believe that Summer & Kelly have become good influences to Cynthia and she has really begun to fully blossom into a respectable member of society, and we couldn't be more proud of the progress that she has made to repent for her past mistakes.  

I do worry that Cynthia's cover may get blown if she doesn't tread careful with Salem and her subordinates, As I continued to type away on my laptop I heard the front door open and a pair of running feet come into the living room and I had barely put away my laptop when I felt something land on the couch next to me.

I looked to my right and I saw Mackenzie bouncing up and down on the cushion and I said hello princess how are you doing? Mackenzie then said I'm doing good granny and I then said your speech has greatly improved since we saw you last cutie I said as I booped her nose which made her giggle.

Mackenzie then said Auntie Allura has been teaching me how to speak in more complete sentences and I then said that's good cutie, I then asked where's your momma and mommy dear and Mackenzie said they dropped me and my stuff off once we entered your house granny and then they left for their date.

I was a little sad that Kelly & Summer didn't come in and say hi but I understood that they had a hotel reservation that they had to get to and I then stood up and I then picked up Mackenzie and I said come on let's go and eat the cookies that Gamma made for us and Mackenzie yelled Yay I love cookies which made me chuckle and I then walked towards the kitchen with Mackenzie on my shoulder.
