Chapter Twenty Nine After The Battle

(Ruby Rose) I slept the only thing that I could hear was the beeping of a heart-monitor and so I slowly opened my eyes and once I had been able to fully see I saw that I was in a hospital room and that I was hooked up to a heart monitor and an IV Drip was in my right hand and I then looked to my left and I saw my godmother Glydna Goodwitch was sitting next to my bed with a book in her hand and as I shifted in the bed Aunt Glydna turned her head to the right and when she saw me she had a soft smile on her face and then stood up and Aunt Glydna gently hugged me and then she went into teacher mode. Ms Rose what you did during the battle was very dangerous and if Mr. Arc hadn't given some of his Aura you wouldn't be here with all of us and I very displeased that you put yourself into such serious danger but she said while regaining her smile I'm proud of you for not only for ending this deadly conflict but also for bringing peace to all of Remnant and I know that wherever Summer may or may not be she's very proud of you.

I then said Aunt Glydna how long was I out and Aunt Glydna said that I was only out for a week while my Aura recharged and I think that your sister and your friends are outside this room waiting to be able to come in and I said let them in please Aunt Glydna and she said sure thing dear and then Aunt Glydna walked over to the door and she opened it and once the door opened Yang Weiss and Blake fell into the room since they had been eavesdropping on our coversation and I'm very certain that Yang was the main culprit eavesdropping and Weiss & Blake got drawn into the situation. The first person who stood up from the ground was Yang who then walked over to my bed before she carefully sat down near my feet and she asked How are you feeling sis? and I said well I've been better Yang but I will manage and then Yang hugged me carefully so that she didn't reopen my wounds and once Yang pulled away she said Hey sis you have a pretty cool scar above your left eye and I said let me see Yang and Yang retrieved a mirror before she handed it me and I saw that I do indeed have a scar that ran diagonally across my eye and I couldn't help but smile.

Weiss then made her way over to my bedside and she then took a seat in the chair next to me and she then scolded me by saying don't you ever scare me like that again dolt or I will make you suffer and I said dryly dully noted princess before I stuck my tongue out and then Weiss chuckled and she said I love you Ruby and I said I love you too Weiss and then Yang said teasingly get a room you two which caused both Weiss and I to stick out our tongues at Yang, Blake finally walked over to the bed and she leaned against the railing and she then Ruby what are we going to due now that Salem has been defeated and the Grimm have been weakened and I said well Blake I guess that our jobs as huntresses has gotten a little bit easier though we will still have Grimm to face as well as crime to fight I say that once I'm able to leave the hospital we all go on a team vacation for some R&R before we decide what to do next, Does this sound good? Yang was the first to answer saying it sounds like a lot of fun and then she turned her head and looked at Blake saying Hey Blakey it looks like you will be wearing the new bathing suit that I bought for you after all and Blake sighed deeply then she asked Do I have to wear it? because it's very revealing and I don't think that I will comfortable wearing it? To which Yang said yes you do unless you want to see me cry which caused Blake's ears to flatten on her head and she sighed again and then she said alright I will wear it but it doesn't mean that I will enjoy it. I then said Yang I didn't need that mental image and Yang said teasingly to bad little sister and I mumbled you're the worst and Yang said what was that and I quickly said It was nothing Yang and she said yeah sure, so the rest of the day we all talked and went over the plans for our vacation.
