June 7th

(Kelly Vanille) When Mackenzie woke up from her nap I was sitting in a chair in her room when she tugged on my arm and she said Mommy? I looked at her and I said Yes Sweetie, then Mackenzie said I don't feel good mommy.

I placed a hand to her forehead and I said you're burning up baby girl and I then said come on let's go to the bathroom and I can take your temperature, I then took my daughter's hand and I then led her to the bathroom.

Once inside the bathroom I carefully picked up Mackenzie and I then placed her on the toilet while I got into the medicine cabinet and I retrieved the thermometer from the cabinet, With the thermometer in hand I then walked over to Mackenzie and I then said open up dear.

Mackenzie opened her mouth and I then placed the thermometer underneath her tongue and I then said keep it in your mouth for a few minutes until it beeps okay bug! Mackenzie said okay mommy, after three minutes the thermometer beeped and I then retrieved it from her mouth.

With the thermometer in my hand I saw that Mackenzie's current temperature was 101.7 degrees Fahrenheit which made me frown, I then said okay baby girl let's get you into the tub and you can have a bubble bath, The sound of having a bubble bath made Mackenzie smile.

I then walked over to the bathtub I put in the stopper and I then turned on the hot water and when it was warm enough I then put in two bath bombs and then the bubbles started to form, I then helped Mackenzie get her shirt and shorts off and then Mackenzie took off her underwear and then she climbed into the tub.

I sat on the toilet and I watched Mackenzie play with her bath toys for a few minutes before I started to bathe her, Mackenzie was having a blast in the tub, And even though I'm soaked from her splashing I couldn't care less since Mackenzie's happy and that's what is most important to me.

After a while it was time for Mackenzie to get out and so Mackenzie climbed out of the tub and I then dried her off and then I went to her room to retrieve her a t-shirt and a clean pair of underwear as well as a pair of socks.

My reasoning for only grabbing a t-shirt underwear and socks for Mackenzie is because I want to make sure that Mackenzie stays cool and she doesn't get overheated from the extra layers, especially with her being sick.

Once I had returned to the bathroom I then handed Mackenzie her clothes and then I stepped out of the room and into the hallway so she could change her clothes, I must have waited in the hallway for five minutes until the bathroom door opened and out walked Mackenzie.

I then said why don't you go and lay on the couch while I grab Nelly the Beowulf and a few blankets cutie, Mackenzie then responded back okay mommy and then she walked towards the living room.

I then made my way back into Mackenzie's room and I grabbed her Nelly a pillow and a couple of blankets, Once I had gathered everything that I needed I then headed to the living room.

Once I had reached the living room I walked over to couch and I then handed Mackenzie Nelly before I laid a pillow under her head and then I covered her up, Once Mackenzie was covered up I walked towards the kitchen.

Once inside the kitchen I made a bowl of chicken noodle soup for Mackenzie and I got some crackers to go with the soup, I then carried the bowl of soup out to the living room.

Once I was out in the living room I carried the bowl of soup over to the couch and then I carefully sat down so as not to spill the soup on myself or Mackenzie, Mackenzie then proceeded to eat the soup.

Once Mackenzie had finished her soup I turned on the tv and we watched Mackenzie's favorite show Paw Patrol until we both fell asleep watching the show.
