Chapter Eighty Seven Great Aunts and Niece Bonding pt 2

March 10th

(Blake Xiao Long) After Yang and I walked into the game room where we would be playing several board games with Kelly, Summer, Trivia, Ruby & Weiss as well Blaze and Calvin, I noticed that Cinder was cowering in the corner of the room and so I slowly walked over towards her So that way she wouldn't get spooked.

I knelt down in front of young woman and I asked her Are you okay love? Cinder just shook her head violently and I then said I'm sorry for Yang's outburst earlier, Did Yang hurt you hun? Cinder then said No she just scared me I raised my eyebrows not fully believing her response and then I said you don't have to hide anything from me hun, I want to help you.

Cinder then looked at me with hope in her eyes and then said Really? you actually want to help me and I just nodded her head and then Cinder said wasn't physically hurt by Yang she just reopened mental and emotional wounds that haven't been fully healed from my time as Salem's enforcer.

Cinder looked at me with pleading eyes please don't send me back to her and I could tell that she was absolutely terrified at the prospect of being sent back to Salem, I pulled the young woman into my arms and I held her tightly and I said don't worry love We will do everything in our powers to not send you back if you don't want to.

I could tell there was something that she wasn't telling So I have to ask who are your parents Cinder? Salem then said that she didn't know who her father was but Salem was her mother, I then asked the question that I didn't want to ask but I had to ask since I'm a registered psychiatrist as well as a huntress. 

Cinder did Salem ever hit you? Cinder opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out which confirmed my worst fears and after a few moments of silence Cinder reopened her mouth and she said with a wavering voice yes she beat me quite often when I failed her or just because she wanted to prove a point, Once Cinder had finished speaking she couldn't me in the eyes.

I held her in my arms as she cried into my chest and I could sense that everyone in the room was staring at the two of us and so I looked up and the first person who eyes I met was Yang's amethyst eyes and obviously she had heard everything and I could see remorse in her eyes, Yang looked like she was about to cry but she held it together and she then joined Cinder and I on the floor and she wrapped her arms around us and she held us tightly.

Once Cinder had calmed down enough I tipped her head so that I was looking into her eyes and I said softly honey you won't be alone anymore I promise, Cinder then carefully stood up and she said I'm going to bed, goodnight everyone and then Cinder walked out of the room and she headed to the living room where she would sleep on the couch.

Yang and I then stood up and we sat at the table and when I locked eyes with Summer's azure eyes I could tell that she was fuming since her eyes turned a very dark blue color which always signaled that she was boiling with rage on the inside while externally she was deadly calm, which was a bad sign.

I pulled out the game bag and when I opened it a furry face poked out of it and I knew who the fur ball was, it was Zwei the family corgi and so I gently picked him up and I then placed him on the floor and I looked over at Yang who had a guilty look on her face, I sighed and shook my head at her and I whispered you better have brought his food and water bowels and Yang said of course I brought them kitty.

After Yang had laid out Zwei's food and water bowels I then laid out the first game that we were going to play which was Remnant the Game Version 4 with extensions and expansions and then for the next couple of hours we played many board games until we all called it a night and Yang followed me to the bedroom but before she could enter I blocked her in the doorway.

Yang looked at me perplexed and she said what gives Blakey? I then said with a monotone voice you do remember what you did earlier regarding a joke about making me purr in front of our two year old great niece and Yang said yeah I remember that and I said I will grab your pajamas for you but you will be sleeping on the air bed in the living room as punishment for humiliating me in front of the others. 

I then opened Yang's suitcase and I grabbed her pajamas before I threw them at her and then I closed the door after Zwei waddled into the room and he laid down at the foot of them before I fell asleep I had a smile on my face at just how blessed I am to be apart of this huge family.
