I GOT THIS IDEA FROM @destiny_x17
-

When I was young I got into a terrible car crash that cost me my hearing. Fixing my hearing was out of the question because my family was poor but the older I got the more money we made and now I have hearing aids. Though I keep my hair down to hide them. Why would I want so much attention on me? It's a white lie to not tell anyone about my hearing disability.

Though my dreams of becoming a hero were trashed long ago I still ended up in a hero course at UA! It was class 1-A. I got in by recommendations because of how well I functioned with my quirk and disability.

I couldn't find my hearing aids. How could I go to my first day without my hearing aids?

Seeing as I was going to be late I decided against spending any more time looking for them. I'd have to survive without the hearing aids.

When I got to the school and finally found the classroom there weren't many people. A group of three boys consisting of one with blue hair and engines in his legs, a tall one with three pairs of arms and gray hair, and one with a bird head..? The blue rushed to introduce himself. Good thing I can read lips. 'Good morning! I'm Tenya Iida.' He greeted. I smiled. I hope I'm not too loud or too quiet. "I'm Y/n L/n. Nice to meet you Iida-San. I'm sorry if my voice is a bit off." I smiled. He nodded in understanding. I walked further in. I nodded to the other two boys in the room then took my seat and stared out the window.

A blonde haired boy plopped in his desk in front of me and set his feet up. Iida came rushing over to scold him but left when there were new people. I looked back at the window. When everyone started moving I was severely confused. I stared at Mr. Aizawa. I'd met him previously because of my situation. I walked over to him. I waited till everyone left to start the conversation. "I lost my hearing aids. What's going on?" I asked. He glared. 'You'll have to be careful with them if you wish to stay in this class. Go put your gym uniform on. We're doing a quirk apprehension test.' He told me. I nodded and went to the locker room.

When I got to the room I immediately started changing. A girl tapped on my shoulder and I jumped. 'Hello? We've been calling for you but you didn't answer.' The pink girl laughed. I just smiled lightly. "Sorry. This is going to sound mean but I don't want to be talked to today. Just try not to. Nothing against you just wait till tomorrow to introduce yourself." I explained. She nodded, confused. I left the room and went to the area we needed to be at. I saw quite a few people there already and the two boys from earlier walked over to me. 'Since we didn't introduce ourselves earlier we thought we would now.' The silver haired boy told me. I nodded. "I'm Y/n L/n." I responded. He nodded back. 'I'm mezo shoji.' He told me. 'Im fumikage tokoyami' the bird spoke next. I smiled. "Nice to meet you." I turned away. I stood near Mr. Aizawa to get a good look at what he'd say.

I was first on every test we did. 'No wonder she got in on so many recommendations..' A green haired boy thought. 'I lied about whoever got last would get expelled.' Mr. Aizawa said. I smiled. He's going to be a fun teacher.

- Time skip to the sports festival.

I was up against Shinso. He's in general studies. We went to school together in middle school but lost contact when we started UA. I smiled at the boy in front of me. "May the best one win." I said. He nodded with his Cheshire smirk. "May the best one win." He repeated.

The match was over quickly when I quickly used my telepathy to get him out of bounds. He had almost taken control of me but I heard what he was thinking and quickly moved. "Sorry, Hitoshi! I've got to get first place. It's an achievement I'll never live down." I yelled. I saw his smirk still there but he had a hint of disappointment in his eyes. I walked over to him. "Your quirks amazing I'm sure they'll let you switch to the hero course." I assured him. He nodded and we went our separate ways. Who was I to assure anything? It doesn't matter. I just have to make sure that I can help him. I looked up to my bandaged teacher and his loud friend. I could feel his gaze on me. I know I'm his student but I also know that he wanted Shinso to win. It was a rigged match. Someone so powerful against someone who's only getting training from a teacher outside of school. I know he'll make it he just needs more practice. And he needs to enhance his quirk.

- Skip to the training camp.

I don't know how I did it but I convinced Nezu to let Shinso come with us. We were eating the meal I'd cooked with some help of Todoroki starting the flames. We were told to finish our food then we'd start the fun events.

There was fire everywhere on our way there. 'Let's just get Bakugo and leave' Someone thought. I looked at Shinso. 'Run' I mouthed. He shook his head. I grabbed his hand and ran back to the camp quickly. "Has Bakugo left yet!?" I asked Mandalay. She nodded. "The blonde right? Yea!" She answered I cursed. "That's who they're here for!" I exclaimed and ran back into the forest to find him. Deku was hot on my trail to get to the angry blonde. "Deku go back! You're hurt. I'll get him." I yelled. He ignored me. Bakugo was being sucked into a portal and Deku jumped for him. "Don't come. Deku." The blonde muttered before disappearing. "Kacchan!" Deku yelled. I crouched next to the boy and wrapped my arms around him. Tears flooded his eyes. "We'll save him Deku." I assured him.

The trees were rustling. They left? Dark shadow passed us. He was out of control. I saw Shinso standing near this disaster. "Shinso!" I called. "Use your quirk on Tokoyami!" I ordered. He froze up. "Hurry!" I yelled. He rushed over to me and spoke to the boy. "Tokoyami! Snap out of it, idiot!" He yelled. "I can't!" He responded. That was all it took. Shinso had control. Dark shadow retreated and Tokoyami fell. I was quick to catch him and set him down gently. Shoji kneeled towards his bird friend. Tokoyami's face was scrunched up in discomfort. "I'm sorry.." he muttered. Shoji picked both of the basically disabled boys up and carried them with us.

I looked at the frozen violet haired boy. "You did good, Hitoshi. Now let's go." I praised. He looked like he was going to break. He'd never been through this like we did. I hugged him tightly. "We'll save the hothead and everyone will be fine. I understand how traumatic this can be but we have to leave the area." I explained. He nodded slowly and we pulled apart. "It'll be okay Hitoshi." I reassured him. We started on our way back. We'd save him. I knew it. And Hitoshi would get into the hero course because he helped save a life.
