I walked into the room and I then I saw your face
You looked me in the eye and then I wanted to erase myself

The excited look my childhood friend had when he saw me sent butterflies in my stomach. I wanted to erase myself from the situation so badly but at the same time I wanted to talk to him.

I didn't wanna fall but then I stepped right in
I looked down at the ground and then I felt it right within
It was too late for me

I didn't want to fall for him but I walked right into his little red headed trap. He was the most handsome and perfect boy I had ever met. I looked down at the ground to break eye contact. It was too late. I'd fallen.

You took a step forward and tilted your head
With a curious glance you stared and I felt dead
Oh my god, I think I'm dying

When we first met he stepped forward towards me and tilted his head in the most adorable way possible. He had a curious face. I was a new student at his school and he was obviously confused. I felt dead. Oh no...

You said "Hey" and I said "Hello"
"What's your name? I'd really like to know about you"
Too bad I stopped at "Hello"

"Hey." He greeted with a smile. "Um... hello." I muttered. I'd spaced out staring in his eyes.

I just stared and you grinned
And looked right back, it felt like just one big whirlwind
One big emotional whirlwind

I snapped out of my trance when I noticed him grin. There were so many emotions swirling inside of me.

Over the next few days
We got to talking with every single word
I started falling farther, farther, and farther for you

The more we talked the more I'd like him. He was just perfect. Everything anyone with a brain would want.

You were so witty and so charming, swept me off my feet
You made me laugh you made me blush, no one could compete

Everything about him made me swoon. He was the only person who had ever made me blush as much as I did with him. No one could ever compete with him.

I wanted to be with you (only with you)
We clicked like legos or the clacking of tap shoes

Everything seemed to good to be true. I only wanted to be with him. We clicked like building blocks.

You said "Hey", I said "Hello"
"How's your day?" You said "Better now" with a smile
Oh, what a cliché, but to be honest it made my day

It all started with a "hey" and that was a little cliché but it made my day every time I thought about it.

I would've never imagined I would fall for this sweet boy but the second we made eye contact I fell right into this mess. And we were a simple cliché where the girl meets a cute guy and he likes her best friend but maybe someday realizes he actually likes her. I wouldn't have it any other way though...
