Throne Room, the Red Keep

132 AC

Aemond stood next to Daenaera, his new betrothed. Today was the day of the trials, where his mother, grandfather, and Ser Criston would be given trials.

His mother and Grandfather, for planning to do a coup and put Aegon on the Iron Throne, with plans to kill all of the Targaryens on the Blacks side and Ser Criston for the murder of Joffrey Lonmouth.

Criston was dragged in first.

"Ser Criston Cole, you are charged with the murder of Ser Joffrey Lonmouth at my wedding feast." Rhaenyra announced. She wore the crown of Aegon the Conquerer on her brow and a black dress with red and gold trimmings.

Daenaera wore a similar gown but with silver instead of gold, with a tiara of spun silver and rubies.

And he wore black and red, along with Aegon.

All of the wedding guests were called forward. All of them testifying of the killing, with Ser Joffrey's younger sister Lady Helen Lonmouth, who had been held by Hightower guards and forced to witness her brother's brutal murder, openly crying when she was done testifying.

Ser Steffon gently guided the weeping women out of the Throne Room. There was a pause and his half sister spoke.

"For this, you shall be stripped of your white cloak, all your tourney winnings erased form the White Book, Ser Joffrey's murder will be written down in the White Book, and you shall executed by Ser Joffrey's father, Lord Mason Lonmouth." Rhaenyra announced.

Lord Mason stepped out of the crowd, and was offered a sword.

"No, he did not give my boy a quick death. I'm not giving him the same. A pair of gauntlets would do nicely." he said.

Daenaera took his hand as a pair of gauntlets were given to Lord Mason and he proceed to jump Cole, who was held down by three guards. Aemond wanted to look away, but he couldn't.

Ser Joffrey Lonmouth was avenged when his father broke Criston's face with Criston's very own gauntlets.

That is today's chapter. Alicent & Otto's trials are tomorrow.
