Secret Rooms/Chambers underneath Dragonstone Castle
126 AC
Of course, Rhaenyra gave permission to enter the rooms. She brought with her several sheets of parchment so they could make a list of everything there.
Jacaerys and Lucerys begged to join, and Baela and Rhaena used their puppy dog eyes on their father to join as well. Aemond and Helaena were allowed to join as well.
They spent twenty in the first room. This room seemed to hold little, more like a parlor than anything.
The Parlor Room, which Lucerys dubbed it, had two tunnels leading down. They chose the tunnel to the left and went in.
They found a massive library bigger than the one in Dragonstone and King's Landing combine, and the library had more rooms and chambers filled with books, but no tunnels.
The books there in the room were utterly precious, and neatly organized by general topic, then the subdivisions of the topic.
The group spent two hours and thirty minutes there. All of the books were all in High Valyrian, and some notable titles were The Forging of Valyrian Steel, The Shaping of Dragonstone, The Encyclopedia of the World, and A guide to the Stars.
The notable titles they found in the magic sector included Blood Magic Vol.1 (there were ten books on blood magic!), Spell Casting, A Guide to Runes and Glyphs Vol.1 (with fourteen books in total for that), Glamours, Bindings, and Illusions, and Enchanting Vol.1.
There was a history section and a section holding books on Valyrian fairytales, legends, and fiction books on other Valyrian authors.
They went back to the Parlor Room and went down the tunnel to the right. There, they found a room stocked with weapons of every kind made in dragonbone, dragon teeth, dragonstone, or Valyrian Steel, and a tunnel leading further down.
There was also a two dozen life size figurines molding intricately made armor, made from Valyrian Steel and white dragon scales.
When Baela tried it on, the armor shrunk to her size and adjusted itself to her liking. The white scales also turned pale green and pearl, the color of Moondancer's scales.
Of course, Daenaera, Jacaerys, Aemond, Rhaena, and Lucerys were quick to claim armor of their own. When they were forced to put it back on after trying it on, at the base of the pedestal their names were engraved on it.
Daemon was drooling-not literally- over the weapons and they had to drag him down the tunnel.
The next room held jewels, chests, and baubles. There were seven chests and none of them had locks.
But when Daenaera cut her finger and the blood hit the chest, it glowed with blood runes and swung open. The first chest held over two dozen dragon eggs comfortably heated, an emergency stash no doubt.
The second chest held over two dozen bundles and bolts of dragon scales of a variety of colors, which would sell for tens of thousands anywhere in the world.
The third held the lost mini statues of the Fourteen, which the Targaryens still worshiped. A book on the legends of the Fourteen sat next to it, and another book on how to worship them on the other side.
The fourth held jewels, gems, precious metals, and coins.
The fifth chest held three dozen pots of Valyrian Steel.
The sixth chest held raw dragonbone, ranging in length from the size of Lucery's pinky to as long as Daemon was tall, which was six feet and two inches.
The seventh held a dozen dragon horns, with bands of gold and a band of runes. High Valyrian words beneath the runes proclaimed their functions: bond sever, sleep, fly, hunt, attack, sooth, protect, flee, call, and wake.
After the chest, they explored the Treasure Room, as Helaena named it. There were two more side rooms that they guessed were ritual rooms.
Rhaenyra fond three dozen poisons, which were carefully placed away from everything else. Laenor found the blue prints of ship designs.
Helaena found forty jars of strange powders, which were also carefully placed away from everything else.
Obsidian cutlery, proper Valyrian made dragon saddles, and obsidian arrow heads were discovered by Daemon. All of them were confused why the arrow heads weren't in the weapon room.
Two harps and four flutes, as well as a long pipe made of dragonbone was found by Jacaerys.
Five book-sized boxes of Valyrian Steel jewelry was what Lucerys and Rhaena stumbled upon.
Seven music boxes, ten far-eyes, two compasses, and six abacuses were found by Baela.
A wonderfully made sextant and four boxes filled with parchment scrolls, all made from priceless Dragonbone was what Aemond found.
A map of the secret rooms and chambers was what Daenaera found. She already knew the secret rooms and chambers since she had explored them as a ghost, but it was still a good find.
After that, they all went back up for lunch, for they had found everything. And every single one of them were giddy over their discovery.
That is today's chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it!
