Chapter 7 ( Kendall) chum bar

I check my appearance in the mirror of my locker .
                     " See ya around girl at the chum barn " Jesica shouts out as she walks on her way toward her own locker which is right by mine
                       " The what " I whisper to myself
Is it a real barn eww ?
Maybe it a store like the pottery barn .

      I squeeze my pony tail tighter and put on a little more lip gloss .
                  " hey " I hear
From behind me

I turn around and see Derek looking so cute .

             " Hi" I answer him

              " How are you there lady " he asks
I love this southern lingo

           " good and you " I reply

         " good I just wanted to talk to you about last night I mean the dare was not necessary " he says and rubs the back of his neck

        " I am fine , I am worried about Jessica and Christina " I state

            " Yea that was a dick move on Pitts part" he says
I don't know if he is talking about Shane or Jessica.

           " Sorry for the language " he says and he looks embarrassed

       " That is fine I hate they got hurt " I say

          " yes he did that to his own sister " Derek says

So he was talking about Shane.

I look over and Shane is at his locker and he is staring at us .

         " I just wanted to check on you " he tells me

              " That is so sweet " I say to him
He smiles and goes to walk away but something popps into my mind .

                " Hey Derek what is a chum Barn " I ask
He laughs and it is not just any laugh it is a very big laugh .

              " It is a like a pop up , see Blair's uncle owns this bar and he goes to    Birmingham for 2 nights of every month and we party there one night and clean there the next ."  He tells me

            " It bes fun is it tonight " he asks me
I really don't know but I think so .

              " Jessica said something about it so I think so " I tell him

               " Good it so much fun so come and you won't regret it ." He tells me

He walks off and I gather my books .

                     " Hi there" I hear
I look up and see Brayden

                 " Hi " I feel a little awkward.
I mean we did kiss last night .
It was short and rushed . I felt like everyone was looking so I don't think I could have enjoyed myself if I wanted to .

                " I just  wanted to clear the air I know it' not a big deal .but I still needed to I don't know I just thought I dont want you to think less of me ." He says

I don't know what he is getting at .

              " Howdy " Shane says as he walks up then. He puts his arm on Brayden's shoulder .

     I know he is from the south but Howdy really .

                  " Hey " Brayden says

                " What is going on " he asks
Brayden looks embarrassed .
I get it is a little awkward but there is no reason he should feel embarrassed.
