Chapter 56 ( Shane ) From breakfast to dessert

We are sitting at a booth at Waffle House . I have never took a girl out for breakfast after we hooked up . I don't know how this has happened.

I am looking at her she just seems so sweet I am so scared that I am going mess things up and in a result to that might mess her up .

     " What can I get you " the waitresses asks

  I get the all star meal it is a lot of food .

        " I will take Scramble eggs and has browns covered and smothered. Kendall
Tells her

         " you want to share some grits with cheese" I ask Kendall

She nods

Now I am sharing food what  is going on .
but I couldn't come to waffles house and not get the grits I am a country boy at heart .

   She looks so pretty , she has not showered or combed her hair or even washed her face or brushed her teeth but I am still find her unbelievable attractive.

It hits me I have not done those things he either . What if she don't like how I look now .

         " I can't wait to get home and shower and do all those things that will make me appear to look better " I say

She looks at me strangely

       " Yes me to but somehow scruff looks good on you " she jokes

I laugh at her
         " I still can't believe you didn't drink last night "she says

          " I was sober driver I just didn't want to drink last night but I gave that job to Gunner thankfully he didn't drink I asked him before he could " I tell her

We eat and laugh .

    As we walk out of the Waffle House .

             " You want to go to church " I ask

      " yea" she says

It was strange going to mass with her , I didn't think about maybe seeing someone we know there until half way threw it .
But it wouldn't matter if they did see us

On the drive home she works the radio and I have notice she is starting to listen to more country music .

As we get out to go into the house .

I pull her gently by the arm .
        " Let's go In the back way " I tell her

She pulls her arm back and says
       " how you sneak in your tramps no thank you " she snaps

Did I say something wrong she sure seemed mad .

I walk in the back way but she goes in the front .

      I wait for her to get up stairs.

         " are you mad or something " I ask

      " No " she answers

          " Did you know that your mom and dad is back " she tells me

            " What no I didn't " I say

       " They are and they said dinner is in 2 hours" she tells me

       " Alright " I say to her and move close and put my hand on I her hip

               " I am gonna get some rest I will see you at dinner" she tells me

What the f**k was that .
She is mad at me but what .
I did suggest we go in the back but I see nothing wrong with it .

After I showered and freshen up and rested a bit
It was time for dinner .
As I turn to walk down the stairs , Kendall is in front of me and I stop right in my tracks . She has on hot pink shorts they are tight and really short .
It is a sight to watch her in them .
