I sing along to a Rihanna song .
" Here have another " Shane says as he hands me another shot .

We only been at this party like 15 mins and this is my second shot but I am still on my 1 st cup .

I wonder if Shane really minds that I am hanging out with him .
I mean I heard him say he don't like clingy women and I am not really I just don't have no one else to hang with .

Maybe I should give him some space .

" I am going to mingle " I say and try to sound cute and not worry that no one will want to hang with me .

" ok " he says as Clyde whispers something in his ear

" wait " he yells and pulls me back by catching my arm

" was you really gonna leave with out kissing me " he asks

" oh I should know better " I say

We kiss and it only lasts a second but it still feels good
" That is ok I will spank you when we get home "'he whispers

I hope that is a joke .
He never has done that and I never want him to.

I look around for a friendly face I want it to be a girl , I realize after eating so many lunches with Shane. And his friends I need a. Friend who is a girl .

I see a girl who has a Burberry skirt outfit on so she has style I make my way to her and before I get there she walks off.

I take a big gulp and then I see a 2 girls they are talking I have seen them before .

" Hi I am Kendall " I say

" Like we care" one girl says then they start back up talking to each other

So it is going to be hard to make friends .

" They all mean girls in these parts " I hear
I look up and see Derek

" Yea I thought L. A. Was harsh but it is not like this " I admit

" I bet you had lots of friends in L.a. "he tells me

And really everyone was nice to me because of Austin but not one has reached out to me since I have been here so they really care a lot and I have called each of them a few times just to keep in touch .

" So I heard about you and Pitts I could have called that" he tells me

I feel bad I don't want to hurt Derek

I say
He gets up off the sofa and walks closer
To me .

Before I know it there is a arm  around me and I know that touch it is Shane .

" How are you Derek l"he asks

" I am really good I would ask you how you are but I can see you are good" he tells him

This feels so awkward.

" I was just telling Kendall how after me and her broke up I just knew y'all would find your way to each other " he tells us

" We are sorry " I tell him

" I am not sorry , I wanted her and you did too but the better man won"'he says
