FREEN SANDERS SALVATORE P.O.V

I don't know why most people go crazy with love. I don't even know how that fvckin' love feels like.

They said, falling in love is one of the best feeling that a person might experience. But everything that fall gets broken, right?

So why do people are still obsessed with this so called love?

There are people who are wasting their efforts, their money, their time, their lives, just to find love. Ano bang mapapala nila don?

We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone.

No need to search for love.

Love is dangerous. When there's love, there's pain. Love can make you go insane.

So why bother falling in love if you can survive alone without it?

"Oh my god! Thank you, sweetheart! You're really sweet. I love you!"

She can buy more than that if she wants.

"You're just bitter. Why don't you find yourself a boyfriend?" She suggested. Napaisip naman ako sa sinabi nito. Boyfriend? Should I get one? Of course not! Why would I?

"Arghh! Why would I even bother? It's a waste of time, money, and effort. I love myself and that's enough." I heard her chuckled before I get in to my car.

"Oh c'mon, Rhae, you also don't have a boyfriend.

"I'm not bitter like you, Freen. I believe in love, it's just that wala pa lang talaga akong nagugustohan."

We're both a college professor. I'm an adjunct professor. Hindi ko naman pwedeng pabayaan ang kompanya ko just because I can't leave my passion behind. And of course, it's because I have lots of qualifications.

Rhaenyra is my bestfriend. I met her when we are in highschool. I actually don't like making lots of friends, because it's hard to find real ones.

"Good morning, Prof. Salvatore," bati ng nakasalubong kong estudyante.

I want to enter my class on time. Not early, not late, just on time.

This is my second year of teaching here in Gunn University. Not to brag but I'm quite famous here.

But I'm not sure if most students know me because I'm a good professor and usually a panelist every defense. Or they know me as a strict and intimidating professor? I once heard a bunch of students talking about how intimidating I am inside a classroom.

Well, hindi naman ako super strict talaga. I just want my students to learn and get to the curriculum standard. I'm doing it for them to push themselves to their limits. To do their best always.

"Good morning, Prof. Salvatore!"

Some students look happy and some looks like... I don't know what to call it. They're smiling pero muka silang natatae. What's wrong with these students?

"Good morning, students. I am Professor Freen Salvatore and I will be your professor for MC Lit 7, which is Literary Criticism," pagpapakilala ko sa unahan. "Since this is your first day, I want you to introduce yourselves one by one. Just state your name and your subject expectations. You can also include your expectations to me as your professor. Let's start from you."

I can sense in her smile that she's hesitating. Or maybe she's shy. Tsk! They are already in third year college, they should know how to stand firm and speak in front confidently.

"G-good morning, Prof. Salvatore. Good morning, classmates. My name is ......"

Napapailing nalang ako sa ibang estudyante. Some students are actually good but some are not. Some students can't even construct basic sentence properly. For a college students like them, it's disappointing.

She's wearing the school uniform which is an army green fitting skirt tucked with her white blouse with a long army green neck tie. Her hair is in a messy bun, there are some hair strands blocking her face.

And there her face revealed. She has a choco brown eyes, long eyelashes, sharp nose, and thin lips. Her tan skin suits her perfectly.

"G-good morning, Ma'am. I'm sorry for being late today due to heavy traffic."

I stopped examining her face when she started talking.

I show her my normal blank face.

"What I hate the most about my students is when they come to class late. And according to my watch, you're more than twenty minutes late. This will serve as your warning, if you come late to my class again, I won't let you in."

Napalunok ito sa sinabi pagkatapos ay yumuko. "Yes, Ma'am."

"Call me Prof. Salvatore," sabi ko. I prefer being called professor because that's my dream profession. And whenever my students call me Prof. it always feels like a dream come true.

"Yes, Ma'a-- Prof. Salvatore."
