FREEN's PoV

It's already late at night pero kakauwi ko lang. I spent my whole day taking care of Arya because she got sick. Sinabi ko naman kase sa kan'ya na kumain s'ya palagi ng madami pero masyadong tipid kumain. Nagkakasakit tuloy.

I was walking my way upstairs because I'm tired and sleepy at the same time when suddenly...

"Where did you came from?" I stopped immediately when someone from behind me spoke up. I turn around and see my mother looking at me with a serious expression on her face.

"Office," I replied shortly. But she don't seem convinced. She raised her brow to me.

"Office? You weren't there, Freen." I suddenly feel a little nervous because of what she said. She's more serious now. Alam ko kapag ganito ang aura n'ya.

"I-i was there." I tried to lie. Though I have this feeling that she gone to my office but I still lied. Maybe she's just making assumptions.

"Don't lie to me, Freen. I've been in your office, you weren't there."

"I was with R-rhae," I lied again but she just raised her brow to me again.

"You're not good at lying. Where did you came from?" Ang mukha at boses n'ya ay mas naging seryoso pa na kung saan ay mas lalong nagbigay ito sa'kin ng kaba. I can't tell her that I'm with Arya. She'll probably get mad hindi lang sa'kin kundi pati kay Arya.

"I-I'm..." Wala akong maisip na palusot. Damn! I should probably think that this might happened bago ako umuwi. Sana nakapag isip na ako ng pwede kong gawing dahilan.

"You're with that woman?" I become a bit agitated because of what she said. Does she...

"W-who? W-what do you m-mean?" I tried to fake a laugh and act like I don't know what she's talking about. I swear, nervousness is eating me right now.

"Stop acting like you know nothing, Freen. We both know what you're up to," she said. Mas lalo akong kinabahan sa mga tingin na binibigay n'ya sa'kin. I know my mom and I know what's she's capable of. It makes me worry about Arya. "Stay away with that woman." Napayuko ako dahil sa sinabi nito. I'm still feeling nervous. I know this will happen. But I'm not expecting her to find out so soon.

"I...I don't know what you're talking about, Mom."

"Really?" Mom smirked. Let's stop this lying session, Freen. I'll going to tell you this as your mother. You're a Salvatore, and that girl? She's a trash. She's not good for you."

I clenched my wrist because of what she said. Inipon ko ang lahat ng lakas ng loob ko para mag angat ng tingin at sumagot sa kan'ya. "Stop telling me what's good for me dahil simula bata pa ako ay ang makabubuti lang naman sa inyo ang nasa isip mo!"

Tumalim ang tingin nito sa'kin dahil sa sinabi ko. "You don't know what you're talking about, Freen. I'm doing this for the sake of our family."

"Oh shut it, Mom! Stop playing with that precious mother card! You're only thinking about the money, the business, and the family name! So stop meddling about what I want to do!"

"Stop meddling? What do you want me to do? Let you ruin your life?" She maybe not shouting but I know that she's mad. My mom never raised her voice when she's mad or when she disagree to something, but her calmness is more scary.

"I-I'm not ruining my life!"

"Really? You're in a relationship with a stupid woman. What do you think you're doing? Are you out of your mind? Do you really think that she's into you? She's poor, Freen, she needs money. She will only use you and your money! She's a golddigger!"
