I Stared at the door as I waited for Tyrian who annoyingly mutters how Salem would forgive us for failing our mission in retrieving Ruby,
I glared at myself at my own reflection after realizing the consequences of my actions
"If only I didn't hesitate... If only you held on longer and not get careless we could have-!" I stopped muttering to myself knowing that it falls heavily on me and my abilities
I could easily defeat an army of Huntsmen and Huntresses but not some teenagers!?
" She'll forgive us... " I gasped when Tyrian had opened the door and I stepped back as he kneeled infront of Salem
"Tyrian... The girl? I don't seem to see her with you..." Salem said and looks at me and I kneeled on the ground and the corner of my eyes I see Cinder smirk at my failure
"N-no..." Tyrian replied and I begin to sweat hoping that he doesn't say anything
"But-! But! Qrow! My poison ahaha! He would not be a nuisance to you any longer! No... No longer! I've done that! And young Monsella has broken their spirits! They're bound to not even make it to Haven alive!" He said and as he had given his time to defend me I still clenched my hand in disappointment even sensing my brother and Emerald across the room
"Have I done well!???? Have I pleased you???" Tyrian asked huffing like a dog infront of Salem who then turned her back at us
"The last eye is blind... You disappoint me..." Salem says walking away and Tyrian screamed in agony as a Grimm was about to jump on him and we just looked at him repeatedly stabbing the monster to death until he laughed his heart out.
Mercury walked up to me and placed a hand to my shoulder that I slapped away and ran outside to the fleet port breathing heavily as I placed my hands to my face trying to calm down as my negativity was luring Grimm
"Hey! What happened back there?!" Mercury followed me and I wrapped my hands around me
"Just-! Not now Mercury!" I said not looking back at him but he grabbed me by the shoulder and moved me to look at him
"Right now! What happened back there on your mission that got you to screw up that bad?" He asked furiously and from me being upset my eyes glowed red as I got mad
"I hesitated! Again! I-! I still couldn't bring myself to kill them! Let alone just Finish them off in one swoop! If only I'd just moved on and have this stupid headache off me I could actually focus-!" I said picking up a pebble and throwing it at a Grimm that then fell after having its body punctured like a laser
"How about time you actually tell me whats the deal huh? How did I actually end up on your doorstep? How why everytime I actually encounter them everything hurts? How everything just...! Hurts! Everything hurts! There's-! I don't know why... I......" I stopped and sighs looking down after seeing the look on Mercury's face
"I... I'm sorry I..." I leaned my head to his chest and looked down and he had his other arm wrapped around my head as I listened to his heartbeat
"Before my encounter with them I..... I went to Patch... Where Sangria had lived... And for some reason... When I saw the gravestone of their mom I... Couldn't understand what I was feeling at all..." I said and as much as I wish he'd have an answer, I know that he was much of a victim as I was to our father
