Mias POV:
I jumped up in the morning to the sound of my alarm, instantly noticing something was off. I looked down at myself, noticing I wasn't in my dress, and was instead in a baggy tshirt that most definitely didn't belong to me.I stood up and walked to the mirror. My makeup was gone too. I know I was absolutely not awake enough to do this all myself last night.
Me: did I get dressed last night?
Charles: I didn't want you waking up uncomfortable.
Me: Charles. What if I wasn't wearing anything underneath?
Charles: it's nothing I wasn't expecting, love.
I shook my head, covering the small smile on my lips. He'd been thoughtful. Yes, the bar was on the ground at this point, but Charles was different. He was kind. However, I knew that my brother would go crazy if he knew that Charles had done anymore than drop me off at my hotel and wish me goodnight.
Speaking of my brother.
I threw on a pair of shorts and tied back my hair, grabbing my key and walking down the hall to Daniels room, which was right next door to Lando's. I hung around a few seconds before knocking. My brother occasionally would bring back a girl and interrupting that was absolutely not a nice memory for either of us.
'Yes?'
'I just came to check on you.' I called back.
I heard the door click open, and my brother arguing with someone. A girl opened the door. I looked at Daniel, amused, at the real life Barbie standing infront of me.
'He's fine. He's with me.'
'And you are?' I chuckled.
'It doesn't matter who I am. Swanning around his hotel room isn't going to make him want to date you.' She snapped.
'I'd hope not, I am his sister.' I responded, bursting into laughter.
Lando opened his bedroom door and looked between me and the woman in the doorway, starting to laugh too. She huffed, looking between us both, before leaving the room, not even going inside to grab anything.
'It was that quick of a fuck she didn't need to grab her stuff?' Lando laughed.
'Yeah, funny guys.' Daniel rolled his eyes, closing his door.
'Hey, arsehole. I came to check on you.' I shouted.
'I'm fine!'
I rolled my eyes, turning to speak to Lando, who was leaning against the doorframe and looking at me suspiciously.
'That look on your face normally doesn't mean anything good.' I said, slowly.
'Breakfast?' He asked.
'I'm down for breakfast.' I smiled.
He grabbed his keys from in the door and closed his hotel room, pocketing them, before opening the door to the lift, allowing me in first.
'You never want to come for breakfast, this is odd.' I reminded him.
'That's a lie.' He frowned.
'You sleep in every day Lando.'
'Well the sound of your brother banging that blonde girl woke me up and kept me awake, too.' He grumbled.
'Too far, Norris.'
'I'm sorry, it scarred me too, okay?' He chuckled, taking a seat besides me.
Out of the corner of my eye I could see Charles and Yuki sitting together, with Pierre besides them both. I could never have taken away the fact that they were friends, but something seemed off, as they all sat in silence, eating their breakfast.
'Am I the only one that feels breakfast is a little hostile?' I whispered.
'That's what I pulled you down here to talk about.' Lando responded, as if remembering the whole reason we were there.
'I knew you didn't just come to breakfast for no reason.' I protested.
'You and Charles. Needs to end now, before Daniel sobers up and sees it for himself.' He said, bluntly.
'I don't know what you mean.' I said, slowly.
'I saw him come from your room last night, food in hand, your dress slung over his shoulder.'
My mouth hung open. He did what.
'He told me he was taking it down to dry cleaning, and then took himself off to his room. That dress never made it to dry cleaning.' Lando spoke almost like a detective.
'Well I'll make sure it does.'
'Mhm. You make sure it does. Because if not it'll be Charle's head slung over Daniels shoulder instead.' He responded.
I coughed uneasily, before standing up and walking towards the buffet breakfast. Lando didn't follow me, instead, walking to the opposite side of the room to make a drink.
'Not too hungover to stomach some breakfast?' His voice said from behind me, making my entire body tense.
'No, but clearly you were too drunk to remember to take my clothes to drycleaning.' I snapped.
I heard him chuckle, grabbing a plate and coming up besides me, his arm brushing mine.
'It's washed, love, and I'm sure the maid took it back up to your room thismorning.'
'Oh.' Was all I could muster.
'Why are you so cautious of me?' He asked.
'Because my brother would've murdered you had he been sober enough to notice you last night.' I responded.
'Noticed me when?'
'When you were parading the hotel with my clothes like some sort of trophy.' I snapped in response, putting a piece of toast onto my plate.
'What're you so worked up about because I know it's not me.' He said, too calm for my liking.
'I don't know.' I huffed.
'Go and eat some breakfast, ill come and find you once Pierre leaves.' He smiled softly.
He must've seen the change in my expression at the mention of my ex, because he let his hand glide across my arm, sending shivers all the way across my body as if he'd just lit a firework.
'It's no longer a friendship, love, it's a false sense of security.' He said, nodding towards Pierre.
'Not that it would matter if it was a friendship.' I made sure to add.
'No it would, because that would make me seem like I didn't care.' He protested.
'And you do?'
'Not particularly.' He shrugged, a small smile on his lips.
'I'm gonna go before I want to punch you.' I sighed.
'The fact you're not wanting to punch me just yet is an improvement.' He teased.
'I don't think I've ever threatened you to your face.' I added.
'You hadn't, until last night.' He shook his head, a soft smirk on his lips, walking away from me before I could ask him what the hell that had meant.
Lando pointed in my direction knowingly, placing a coffee in-front of my seat at our table, and sitting down himself.
'So?' He asked, raised eyebrows.
'My dress was cleaned and is most likely back in my suite as we speak.' I informed him.
'Good.'
'And you're a nosy ass who is in my business way more often than he should be.' I added quickly.
He let a smile slip onto his lips, picking up a packet of sugar and launching it at my face, before taking a sip of his coffee with a sarcastic roll of the eyes.
'But seriously. We go back to work tomorrow, you start in 6 days. I'm gonna need you to stay out of trouble.' He warned.
'Yes sir.'
