Mias POV:
I slept the rest of the day and night away, having 4 days of no sleep and a whole day of jet lag to battle, and i woke up feeling like a brand new person at 9am the next morning.

Charles was still sleeping, which was unusual, as he often had to leave earlier than me, but it was so nice to be able to roll over and cuddle him for once.

'Good morning princess.' Charles whispered, pulling me closer, one hand behind my head, pushing it close so he could leave a kiss on my forehead.

'Waking up to you is so much fun.' I smiled.

'I'm blessed that I get to do it every single day.' He responded, his eyes looking deep into mine.

'Why aren't you up and out yet? You're normally awake by 6.' I asked, clinging to him as if worried he'd get up and leave when I mentioned it.

'Took the morning off to make sure you get to where you need to be.' He responded, sitting up and pulling me with him.

'You're ridiculous.' I rolled my eyes, smiling internally at his overprotectiveness.

'Up and dressed please, you need to be with McLaren by 10.' He said, looking at his phone.

'Give me 5 more minutes please.' I asked, collapsing ontop of him again.

He laughed, kissing me all over before pulling me right into his arms.

'How could I ever say no.' He grinned.

'It's nice, us not being interrupted for once.' I said, loving the silence.

'It is. I can't wait until we're in our home, just us.' He responded.

'And the occasional visitor.' I added.

'Yes, but at the end of the day, when it's time to get into bed, it'll always be just us. Nobody else, a silent house.' He said.

'It'll be Perfect.' I smiled up at him.

He looked down at me, love filled eyes for a few minutes before getting me up, heading into the kitchen and letting me know he was making me a coffee.

I got dressed, slowly, because everything was still hurting, and tied up my hair sliding my ponytail through the back of a Mclaren hat.

Charles looked at me from the kitchen, smiling with a little bit of a teasing disgust on his face.

'Don't be grumpy. It's my uniform.' I smiled.

'I know. I'm just glad you're allowed to wear red on race day or I might actually crash.' He joked, handing me my drink.

I took it, kissing him once and then twice, allowing him to take my bag from me and walk ahead out of the hotel room.

A security guard closed it behind me, and another followed us down to the hotel lobby. I hated it because I didn't know any of them. I liked knowing them all personally, having friendships with them. How could I trust someone I didn't even know?

I didn't have time to think about that because the screaming outside of the hotel got even louder when Charles came into view.

'Stay close it's gonna get busy.' A familiar face said, his arm coming up to the side of my body.

'Oh my god Lucas!' I smiled, trying my hardest not to pull him into a hug, as we were halfway out of the door now and that was not the time.

'Last time we saw eachother you ran away from me and right into the Ferrari garage.' He laughed.

'Because I thought Charles was dead.' I responded, trying my hardest to ignore the crowds.

'And now you're engaged. Congratulations by the way.' He smiled, closing the door on me when I was in the car.

I knew he'd been trying to distract me and it had worked.

'Have I got him full time? Please say I do.' I practically begged Charles.

'Yes you've got Lucas full time. He's the only person I trust to look after you. Besides myself.' He added.

'I hate this already. Let's get this week over.' I sighed, fiddling with my ring.

Charles grabbed my hand, leaning closer so he could whisper in my ear.

'Say the word and I'll get you on a flight to Monaco.'

'That would only be appealing if you could come with me.' I responded.

'I wish I could but I've got work, you can do yours from Monaco.' He said softly.

'Then let me stay.' I said firmly.

He nodded, silently, starting the car and heading towards the track.

Charles left me with his security whilst he went to go and test the car, and I spent the entire time on my phone, wishing time away, wishing I'd taken his offer and flown to Monaco.

'Bored?' Arthur asked, coming up behind me, standing with my brother.

'Ever so slightly, how did you manage to drag Danny away from his car?' I laughed.

'I want to take you for lunch.' My brother chimed in, holding his hand out to me.

'Hmm. I am hungry.' I smiled.

'Come on then.'

'Someone let Charles know or he'll go crazy.' I said, looking at his brother.

Daniel shouted for one of my fiancés security, before walking me towards the car, leaving Arthur sitting where I was, watching practice.

'I've missed hanging out with you as much as we used to.' He said, after a few moments silence.

'I know, me too.'

'I'm really proud of you, you know, with your work, with your love life.' He begun.

'Thank you, Daniel, it really means a lot.' I smiled, getting into the passenger seat of my brothers car.

'I wanted to take you out to lunch to say thank you for everything you do for me, as a sister.' He smiled, pulling up just around the corner at a little cafe.

'You're scaring me and also slightly weirding me out.' I mumbled, opening my door and getting out, following him into the cafe.

'Tell me whatever you wanna tell me because there definitely is a reason as to why we're here right now in the middle of practice.' I said, bluntly.

He took a deep breath, giving me a smile. It wasn't a nervous smile, it was a cheeky, sort of knowing grin.

'What?' I asked slowly, taking a small break from looking at my brother to order my food, before turning my attention back to him.

'I've been offered an ultimatum.'

I lent forwards, wondering why he was talking about this in public, but wanting to know more, and also insure it was kept a secret.

'Redbull came to me the other day, asked for me to do a few test laps in their new car. I said I'd do it.' He explained.

'And?'

'I was faster than Max, all 3 times.'  He grinned.

'So what the fuck happens now?'

'We wait and see what happens at the start of next season, but whoever they've got on either two of their teams need to perform or I'm in, or so I'm told.' He shrugged.

'Daniel that's so great.' I shouted, covering my mouth as soon as I realised attention was on me.

He reached over and squeezed both of my hands, excitedly grinning. I felt bad for whoever was in the firing line, but I wanted my brother to have one more opportunity.

'So now we sit and wait, and pray that they can't drive a car the way good old Danny Ric can.' My brother smiled.
