Mias POV:
Charles was right when he said having a dog would keep me company whilst he was working.I sat in my office from the second he was back on the track, until the second he was off, and Leo slept the whole time, curled up in my lap as he is tiny enough lay just about anywhere.
'How's my boy?' Charles asked, knocking on the door but walking in regardless, race suit sitting at his hips as he seemingly couldn't wait to get changed.
'He's a little cuddler.' I laughed, looking down at him.
'Just like his mum.' Charles smiled, kissing the top of my head before moving to stand behind me, his hands slowly rubbing the tops of my shoulders.
'Did you get all of your work done?' He asked, looking over it.
'Almost. I've got to film another video today, I'm running low. I filmed about 2 months in advance and I already need more.' I responded.
'Max is down from quadrant now isn't he?' Charles asked.
'Yeah, I'm filming with him tomorrow.' I responded.
'So don't worry, let's go back early and have a night just us.' He responded, closing my laptop for me.
'Are you sure? Your race is early tomorrow morning.' I said.
'We're going to order a takeaway and cuddle up in bed, I could do that all night.' He responded.
I allowed him to help me up, my arm still sore, packing my stuff away before leaving the office, bumping into Lando on the way.
'My room. Now.' He said, sharply.
'We are actually busy.' I responded, readjusting Leo in my arms.
'No seriously we need to talk. It won't be long.' He argued.
'I can't.' I sighed, looking at Charles.
'Whats happened?' Charles asked, worriedly, his arm slithering around my waist.
'Well, Lewis needs to speak to her really but I'm just nosy so I'll be there too.' Lando explained.
'We're all going then, make this quick, I want a night with my girl before the race.' Charles said bluntly, taking the puppy from me and carrying him safely to the car.
We got back to the hotel and we were practically shoved into the door by security, all the way upstairs to Lando's room, where Lewis was waiting with a black eye.
'What the fuck happened to you?' Charles asked, putting our puppy down when the door was closed, watching him run towards Lewis.
'I don't know how the fuck you're doing this Charles, idve retired if all of this shit with my girlfriend was going on.' Lewis said.
'What?' Charles almost scoffed, taking it in the wrong way.
'Pierre's got his seat back. The claim against his was dismissed, despite there being so much fucking evidence. He caught me off guard in the hallway.' He responded.
My heart dropped completely. I couldn't have gotten any worse news.
'You're joking?'
'No. He's been told to be on his best behaviour, he told me today that he's going to make sure he's out of your way and doesn't want any more trouble, just wants to drive he said but he's said that before.' He shrugged.
'we're going, now..' Charles snapped, picking up our sleeping dog and putting him in his travel box, he'd grabbed from the room.
'Okay.' I said quietly, too shocked and scared to even argue back.
