Mias POV:
I barely slept on the sofa, and not because it was uncomfortable.

I was confused.

Surely Charles would want to plead his case if he was innocent, right?

I was woken up to the sound of pans rattling around, Daniel clearly trying and failing to make himself breakfast despite there being a buffet downstairs.

'Let's just go and get food. You don't look too well to be cooking.' I said, alerting my brother that I was awake.

'Are you sure? I can make us something.' He insisted.

'I'm an adult. I can sit in the same room as him without wanting to cry.' I rolled my eyes, tying up my hair and going to change my trousers, leaving on the jumper I'd slept in.

'You're not wearing that today are you?' He asked, looking at me in disgust.

'And show you up on quali? No you idiot, I'll change after.' I judged him, grabbing the key and letting him wrap his arm around my shoulder, Walking me to breakfast.

'I lied. I might cry.' I mumbled, biting down on my toast, moving closer towards Yuki so that I couldn't see Charles over George's shoulder.

'Does anyone even know the truth of all of this shit?' Lewis asked, coming to sit besides me, sliding me a glass of orange juice.

'We thought you would.' Yuki added.

'I don't know. It's between Pierre and Charles. And they're both so mad at eachother right now who knows what actually happened.' Lewis sighed.

'We've all seen the way Charles looks at you, Mia.' George started.

I snapped my head to look at him, telling him it was not the time, yet he continued.

'He's falling so fast for you. And I think he reacted so irrationally was because he knew it would ruin things between you. He doesn't want to fuck it up even more by trying to explain himself to you.' George continued.

'Are you a therapist?'

'Listen. All I'm saying is, he'll come round. Trust me.' He said, reaching over to give my hand a squeeze.

I took my old seat in the Mclaren garage. I didn't want to sit out alone, as I wasn't sure if Charles would send his bodyguard, and races were boring without him.

I was really starting to feel the loneliness now, Kika gone and Charles not speaking to me, I sat alone, headset on, watching the qualifier, pained to see Charles first again.

I wanted to feel happy for him, but I couldn't because he didn't want to speak to me. And so I walked past his garage, wishing Carlos a quick well done before heading to the hotel.

Lewis: club??

I didn't even respond. He knew my answer. I carefully picked out an outfit, putting on happy songs whilst getting ready to try and boost my mood. I had decided that tonight I was on a mission to find more girl friends.

I couldn't go any longer watching the races by myself. Especially now that Pierre and Charles were both ignoring me.

'You look so good!' Yuki exclaimed, pulling me into a hug and kissing me on both cheeks, greeting me in the hallway of the hotel.

'You do know how to get me to come out with you.' I smiled, allowing him to take my hand and spin me in a circle.

'That was all Lewis.' He responded, tapping his friend on the shoulder.

'She didn't need no convincing.' He shrugged, walking ahead to get the door of the taxi for me.

I hadn't seen Charles, but I'd seen Pierre. He was in the taxi infront with George and Max, and most likely my brother.

'Oh look, it's my favourite wag.' Lando teased, pulling me in for a hug.

'You're so oblivious it's crazy.' I mumbled, shooting him a glare but letting him hug me anyway.

'I'm not oblivious. I just know that you'll be back together by the end of the night.' He said, assuring me.

'We weren't together in the first place.' I interrupted.

'Back fucking then, I don't know.' He shrugged.

Lewis almost choked and Yuki started to laugh, and I sat in silence for the rest of the journey, thinking of all of the ways I could get away with murder.

I lost Lando pretty quickly at the club though, following Lewis straight to the bar and accepting anything he'd offer me.

'Why are you getting drunk?' I frowned, watching as he threw back drink upon drink.

'I'll tell you if you tell me.' He said, looking at the near empty glass in my hand.

'We all know why I'm getting drunk.' I responded.

His eyes lingered over my shoulder for just a second too long, and I turned to look in the direction he'd glanced. Wrong move. Charles was walking past the bouncers, towards the table of drivers, a girl following him.

I was angry. I'd not seen him touch her, she looked like she was following him, but she was still there. Yet I'd never seen her before.

I put my glass down and made my way towards the dance floor, dancing on my own until I caught the attention of a man I had no interest in dancing with.

'Dance with me?' He asked, his hands finding their way to my waist.

I looked over at the table. Max was trying to speak to Charles, but he was leant forward, glass in hand and both elbows balancing on his knees as he watched me warningly.

Two could play at this game.

I slithered my arms around his neck and pulled him closer, physically repulsing at the small groan he let out at the feel of our bodies so close together.

'What'd you say you come back to mine?' He whispered, spinning me around so that I was grinding up against him.

'I'm here with my friends.' I responded, turning back to face him.

'Is he your friend?' He frowned, looking over my shoulder.

I didn't even get time to react before I was grabbed by the wrist and pulled away, into Charles's chest.

'That's enough, now, you've got my attention.' He grumbled, taking me outside to his car and helping me into the passenger seat.

'Why are you driving?'

'I haven't had a drink, Mia. You have.' He snapped.

'Who was that girl? Shouldn't you be taking her back to the hotel?' I questioned, crossing my arms as my dress instantly made me feel vulnerable around him.

'She's my sponsors daughter, Mia. I don't want her to be here she just is.' He said, looking me up and down, swiping his tongue along his bottom lip before starting the car.

'Is what Pierre said true?' I blurted out.

'No.' He said, firmly, full of truth.

If it had been that easy, why had he avoided me?

'I don't get it.' I whispered.

'He made that bet about Kika. Me and him did when drunk, I told him she was out of his league, he said bet. He tried to turn it around on me when he saw things were getting serious.' He explained.

'Why?' I frowned.

'Because she broke up with him when she found out.' He responded.

'I'm too drunk to understand any of this.' I sighed.

'I know. So I'll take you upstairs, get you to sleep, and I'll leave.' Charles said, parking up outside of the hotel and killing the engine, staring at me, his eyes full of sorrow.

'Why did you let me think it was true?' I asked, choking a little on my words.

'Because I don't deserve you.'
