Mias POV:
I woke up to the sound of conversation downstairs. For a few moments I completely forgot where I was, and didn't wonder who was speaking downstairs.

'I showed her the nursery, she hung around there the longest. You should have seen her face.' Arthur said, his voice getting closer and closer.

'She liked it? I was so worried she'd think it was too soon or I don't know, what if she didn't like it?'

'She definitely liked it. I'll wait outside?' Arthur asked, a knocking on the door a few moments later making me realise Charles was here. Right outside of our bedroom door.

I sat up in bed, wincing when I remembered what had happened the day before. I'd almost forgotten I'd been in a brutal car crash.

'Come in.'

My heart swelled at the sight of Charles in the doorway, noticing him smile when he looked at me too.

'How are you feeling? Are you okay?' He asked, sitting on the edge of the bed, moving his arm behind me and leaning me back, checking me over as he did so.

'Charles I'm so sorry.' I said, moving my hand up to his face, pulling him closer so our foreheads were touching.

'Mia the photos were edited, how were you to know that? I understand why you left, and part of me is glad that you did, because it showed me how much I really would do anything for you.' He whispered.

'You look tired. Did you sleep?' I asked, fluffing his hair up.

'No, i think I'm still drunk, I didn't get to sleep the alcohol off. I was too worried about you.' He said, pulling off his shirt as if he was reading my mind, getting into bed besides me.

'What time is it?' I yawned, my body still so extremely sore and beaten that I could do with going back to sleep.

'Midday. If you're not tired you can go downstairs? I just need a few hours.' He rambled.

'No. I can't think of anything better than sleeping with you right now.' I responded, laying on my back, my head on his chest, trying to get comfortable whilst trying not to hurt myself.

'Do you like the house?' He asked, playing softly with my hair.

'I love it. I think we should spend race breaks here, it really is beautiful.' I yawned, my eyes closing slowly.

'We can do whatever you want my love.' He mumbled, kissing the top of my head.

'I promise we'll talk about this when we wake up, I don't want you to think it's all forgotten. I feel awful for leaving.' I said quietly.

'We can talk about it, but just know that not once did I blame you. I was just worried about you. Lando wouldn't tell me where you'd gone, neither would Arthur.' He sighed.

'Lando's trained.' I laughed.

'Too right.'
