Mias POV:
Danny looked at me in disgust when we arrived at the hotel, 2 hours later. He had Leo in his hand, and practically chucked him at me, making a point of the fact he was not going to touch my hand.'Oh be an adult.' I argued.
'Me? You're the one fucking on a private jet. You're acting like a teenager.' He responded.
'I don't know many teenagers with jets, Danny. Oh wait. I had one.' Charles interjected, kissing me on the top of my head and stroking Leo.
My legs were sore and I could barely walk, but I was trying my best to keep what had just happened under wraps. It was clear some people had figured it out.
'So what's gonna come of this tiktoker week?' Lando interrupted, a huge grin on his face, wanting to stir the pot.
'My wife is going to deal with it how she pleases. I will be avoiding every single one of them, and then we will be going home to Monaco for the break.' Charles spoke for me.
'Sounds like a dream. And how do you intend to avoid the q&a?' Lando asked, clasping his hands together.
Charles's smile dropped.
'The what?'
'The q&a. Each of them get to ask us a question. The regular interviewers will be being dropped for this race, instead it'll be these lot.' He smiled.
'I won't be going.'
'You must.' Lando said, as fast as Charles had responded.
'It's only one question Charles it'll be fine.' I responded.
He nodded quietly, taking my hand and leading me up to our room, no more words exchanged until the door was closed.
'I want you to know that I am not going to speak to her, or interact with her, or act like she exists unless she does me. I can't be seen being rude, Mia. But I swear I am for you. Always.' He said, softly.
'Earlier you'd burn the world for me and now you're gonna speak to her if she does you?' I laughed.
He sighed, reaching for my hand and frowning when I let it drop.
'It's complicated. Our parents knew eachother. Her dad got me the contract.' He responded.
'So? You're the driver, not him, you owe her and her family nothing, Charles. I don't want to do this again, you tell me now what you are going to do and you stick to it.' I said firmly.
'The only word I will say to her is during the interview.' He nodded.
I nodded in response, peeling off my travel clothes and getting into something more formal, taking my hairbrush out of my bag and brushing my hair back into a ponytail.
'I would like Arthur with us this week.' I said, finally.
'Why?' He frowned.
'I feel he'll be helpful.' I responded.
Charles walked towards me, engulfing me into such a huge hug it caught me off guard. He held me tight, his hand behind the back of my head, almost as if he was refusing to let me go.
'For me, and for you, and for our family, nothing will get in the way of us, not after everything.' He said at once.
'I love you.'
'I love you endlessly.' He grinned, coming up behind me, making a point to put two hands on my stomach, cradling it.
'Charles.' I warned.
He didn't move, looking at us in the mirror as if he was imagining it to be true.
'You're sure this is what you want?' I asked him.
