Mias POV:
Getting Daniel Ricciardo to come shopping with me was a mission and a half. I heard every excuse under the book before I bit the bullet and told him I had something to tell him at the same time.

I took one of the cars, and met him there. It was refreshing to be able to drive myself around, I'd forgotten it had been so long. He was already in the car park, getting out and putting on a pair of sunglasses as he walked towards me.

'Is that your mighty disguise?' I asked him.

He nodded, finger on his lips as he pulled me into a hug.

'I've missed you my wonderful little sister.' He said, a big grin on his face.

'You're being weird..' I said, looking at him in disgust.

'I'm not. But let's make this fast. I've got a lady waiting for me at my hotel.' He said, quietly.

'That is disgusting.' I hit him.

'What did you want to tell me anyway? I'm only here for another 2 days before I fly back to Australia, so hurry with it.' He said, grabbing a basket and passing it to me.

I didn't say anything, walking to the storage aisle first, finding a small clothing rack with a storage box at the bottom. That's how I had decided I'd tell him.

'are you making a present or something?' He asked, taking the basket from me and carrying it.

'For Charles, yes.' I responded, walking to the baby aisle. Each step my heart began to beat faster. I wanted him to figure it out.

I picked up a couple of babygrows, unsure of which ones to pick, and Danny took a few moments to realise where we were.

'Why does Charles need these?' He asked, slowly, putting the basket down when it clicked.

'You're not?' He whispered, looking around to make sure nobody else was near.

I nodded slowly, a big smile on my face when I saw he was excited and not angry.

'Oh my fucking god Mía I'm going to be an uncle?' He whisper shouted, spinning me in excitement.

'You are.'

'How far along are you?' He whispered.

'Almost 3 months.' I explained.

'What the fuck.' He mouthed, keeping quiet when a group of girls came down our aisle.

'Oh that's so exciting, I can't believe she's pregnant, she'll love these.' Danny said, picking up a baby blanket and putting it in the basket, covering for the fact I was the one in fact pregnant. The last thing I wanted was for this news to be leaked.

I picked up a few more outfits, one which specifically said 'you're going to be a daddy.'
Along with a few blankets and teddies, and a story book.

We paid and headed back to the car, Daniel bursting with excitement, talking my ear off the entire way around the shop, making sure to be quiet.

I pulled one of the ultrasound photos out of my pocket and passed it to him, watching as he just stared.

'I don't cry but I'm going to cry.' He said, looking up at the sky to stop himself.

'That's for you, I want you to see them yourself next time.' I said.

'I will. You're to stay out of the fucking paddock Mia, I mean it.' He warned.

'I've already had this lecture.' I assured him.

'And I'm staying until we go back to the track. I'm not going back to Australia.' He said, firmly.
