Mias POV:
After what I'd say was 3 hours of uninterrupted work, a light knock on the door snapped me out of what had been the most productive 3 hours I'd had in months. All 3 of my f2 videos were ready, and I had just uploaded the first one. My most recent f1 video was up, and I was in the middle of editing the one going up in a few days time.
'Hey, how are you getting on?' Zak asked, standing in the doorway.
'I feel like I've been in my own world the last 3 hours. I've done everything.' I laughed.
'That's good. I was wondering if you'd film a special for us next race?' He asked.
'Absolutely. What's the occasion?' I asked.
'We're back at Silverstone next week, and since its our home race we'd love to do something special.' He responded, passing me a few pieces of paper, all containing ideas.
'Oh that's amazing. Yes I'll do that for you no problem. What social media do you want it to cover?' I asked.
'Everything. Think vegas.' He responded.
'Understood.'
Vegas was spread everywhere every single year. All of the drivers participating in ads and pop ups for literally anything you could think of. And he wanted to go big for Silverstone too. It was so exciting but I knew I'd have to get this video out of the way and make sure I had no other commitments before we got there.
I wanted a clear head. Mclaren was my team, despite spending a lot of time at Ferrari, and I wanted to remind them that even though I have begun to branch out I was always going to give them the most effort.
I finished up my video and had barely noticed it had gotten dark outside, closing my laptop, my eyes catching the time just as I did.
6:20
The race started at 7 and I was confused as to why Charles hadn't come to get me yet. I locked my laptop away in the drawer and left my office, the garage at peak capacity due to the start of the race getting nearer.
'Anyone seen Charles?' I asked, a few people responding telling me they'd not.
'Hey, what're you still doing here?' Lando asked, coming up behind me and throwing his arm over my shoulder.
'I'm not too sure.' I responded.
'Let me walk you to Ferrari.' He said, taking off his headphones and leaving them on the table.
'No. Don't be stupid. It's just around the corner, let me go.' I said, passing him back his headphones.
'Mia.' He warned.
'The race starts soon you need to get ready.' I insisted.
He looked between me and then my brother, who was looking over his car, music in, totally zoned out.
'No. I'm sorry. I'm going to walk you.' He said firmly, opening the door and guiding me out.
I didn't argue. I knew it was useless. Fans flocked towards us at once, Lando trying his best to stay nice whilst also keeping his eye on me. I got to the door of the garage and swiped my card, frowning when it flashed red and didn't let me in.
'Why isn't my card working?' I asked.
'That's weird. Try mine.' Lando said, passing me his.
'Yours isn't working either.' I mumbled.
I knocked on the door, squeezing Lando's hand as he turned to speak to a few fans, taking photos. I was stressed because I had no idea why Charles hadn't come to find me, and why I'd been locked out of the garage.
