Summary:

As fall fades, winter finally comes. Blanketing the little town Katsuki and Deku live in with rich, frigid snow and icy temps. As much as winter was nice - snow, vacations, whatever, Katsuki hated winter. It killed most of the lovely garden he had spent years cultivating - which, in those years, had watched them regrow and flourish in the spring once again.

Katsuki had a special kind of hate for winter, but it seemed the complete opposite for little Deku. The mouse loved winter.

"Deku," Katsuki huffed, growing somewhat annoyed with the little mouse tugging on the hem of his pant leg, getting his attention for the nth time in the past fifteen minutes. "You can't go out there yet; you'd freeze. I'd rather not have to deal with a little mouse popsicle because you got impatient," Katsuki grumbled, watching the mouse deflate at his words.

Those big, fuzzy ears pricked high deflate as Deku puffs his cheeks up. "No, you can't bribe me with that, Deku,"

"No, Deku. Don't fight me on this," Deku whines again, little feet licking as the squishy heel of Deku's feet smacks against his palm.

can be read as stand-alone

Notes:

as said in the summary (sorry its kinda shit, I'm chugging along on four hours of sleep) this can be read as a stand-alone. the series is mostly just goofy little adventures and dumb shenanigans i come up with on the fly.

anyway, i hope u enjoy this third installment of the series, i had fun writing deku waddling around in a big puffy jacket lmao. just imagine those parents that over-dress their kid to the point they are barely able to move. that's what deku looked like in his lil jacket here haha

if u have read the first installment, you will know this au was originally made by @DRIXNS on twitter! they created the mouseku art and i just ran away with the au in my pocket. lol. id recommend going to the first installment to see the art that doesn't quite go with the story but it does show you what izuku looks like!

happy reading! kudos, comments, and whatever is very appreciated and very much wanted. i am a greedy little thing who thrives off of all three haha

Katsuki hated winter. It killed off many of his plants - that he knew would grow back next spring - and his shortage of fresh fruit dwindled significantly. The only available intake of fruit now was handmade jams, and his giant hoard of those was also declining slowly, primarily because of a little mouse obsessed with jam and really anything.

He swears he's seen the little mouse slather honey and jam on veggies and eats it without a second thought. An... interesting combination Katsuki would never grace his delicate and perfected palette with. Never.

"Deku," Katsuki huffed, growing somewhat annoyed with the little mouse tugging on the hem of his pant leg, getting his attention for the nth time in the past fifteen minutes. Those big, fuzzy ears pricked high deflate as Deku puffs his cheeks up. "No, you can't bribe me with that, Deku," Katsuki hums, watching the mouse squeak and grumble, a gentle redness dusting the edges of Deku's eyes. "Aye, don't cry," Katsuki sighs, bending down to pick the little sniffling mouse up. Deku hiccups a sad sound, sitting in his palm as Katsuki brushes the tip of his finger through the bubble of tears threatening to fall. "I've been watching the tracker. I swear they will be here tomorrow," Katsuki huffs, watching the little mouse whine loudly, pointing to the frigid white outside.
